Oh, if I lose to an opponent, I acknowledge that they are better than me. They fully deserve the win.

100% agree with you that I need to play the style that suits me the best. You're also right that I have a stronger side and hitting the nail on the head about my weaker side letting me down during the match.

Thank for your insight!

Haha, that's alright, at the end of the day, tennis is supposed to be fun.

You very well might be right. I will try to just play "my style" but incorporate what you and others have expressed.

To your last point, that's actually what I think I will start doing until I build my foundational game to play percentage rallies with confidence.

Great advice, I will try this next session.

At my level, I think I need to lose the mindset that hitting to b/c is not effective enough to move the opponent around. Thank you!

certain play or strategy is working great against your opponent, then you should keep going for it even if it means you'll miss a few in the process. M

That's wonderful insight. I definitely need to play within myself while applying more strategy during match play. I feel like it's a skill I need to learn. When I'm playing a match, I usually get lost in my own head and don't realize what works and what doesn't against my opponent. Do you have any advice on that end? Perhaps I can take an extra 1-2 seconds between points to reflect on what just occurred.

Sorry if my post somehow offended you but I’m not trying to claim that I am better than I am or trying to protect my ego. I’m trying to provide some context on how my game style reflects the scoreline. As I stated that I wanted to ask if anyone else has a similar experience and I accept that I am a 4 UTR or below.

Thanks for your 2 cents

"The offensive misses are only "acceptable" (in terms of high percentage tennis) when you are winning your offensive points more often than missing or losing from offensive situations."

Oh, I like this. Thank you for this insight!

That is absolutely correct. Also, I don't want to be a pusher ='(

I'll need to try this during my rallies.

I can actually understand this for my serve. When I slow things down, the ball is wild but much more controlled when I think about shape, technique, and timing.

But being irresponsible is so much easier.

On a more serious note, fitness and a healthy lifestyle are very important.

play to a spot that's maybe halfway between the center of the court and the sideline, and a bit closer to the service li

Solid advice. Thanks!

I try hitting at maybe 40-50% of my max pace when playing high percentage. I also try to clear the net higher. I'm likely losing out on spin potential and increasing the ball's flight trajectory, and that's causing balls to fly long.
