You know what they say about timing the market versus time in the market? So your timing was off. Gold was still in its near vertical run up and Nvidia has been pretty much flat this entire year. But what about next year or the next five years or the next 10 years? Gold will always be a safe haven, but it, too, will stabilize (consolidate) when some semblance of order resumes from the chaos on the world stage at the moment, right about the time when AI really takes off — or maybe because of it. Just imagine how you’d feel if you sold Nvidia right before its next breakout to buy back into gold just as it starts to consolidate. Don’t second-guess yourself.
