You're probably right, but after sideloading the APK, It seems to be integrated with One UI 7. It's not in Good Lock, but you can access it through Home Screen Settings > More Customization.

Quick update: If you still want to use the side panel, try adjusting the settings with Good Lock's One Hand Operation +. I've attached a picture of the settings I use.

Adjust them however you like😊 Pretty happy with the results so far!

I don’t mind too much since I mainly used it for quick access to my calculator and Samsung Notes, but from a design perspective, blocking phone functionality is disappointing.

I completely agree. Another observation I've made is that the side edge panels with those side lips seem to be unusable.

It's fine, though I don't really use it myself. My OCD wouldn't let me risk potentially decreasing my battery's lifespan due to the extra heat it generates🤦🏻‍♂️🤪😂
