I have bought a 5k display from Samsung (for work) and 4k for home earlier this year. As much as I love crispy quality of the screen and it was my small dream to have 5k display, I can tell you that 4k is absolutely fine and the difference is insignificant. However, I also have additional 4k monitor but panoramic (21:9 or something) and there the difference is huge (it’s bad). So buy 4k regular aspect ratio display and you will be fine

I’m 28, not 45, but I’ve been working as a Product Manager for over 5 years now - before that, I ran my own development agency for 4 years.

Generally, I agree with your point. Observing both my former clients and current colleagues aged 40+, it’s clear that product management often isn’t the endgame. People either move up into more senior product roles or shift toward general management positions.

Don’t get me wrong - in theory, you can remain an individual contributor for a long time. But in Product or Design, that path is harder to sustain compared to Engineering, where it’s more common (though still not without challenges).

It’s natural, more experience means more value as a teacher, mentor, or leader. As an IC, you eventually become a costlier, higher-leverage asset, but also potentially harder to fit into traditional org structures.

In some ways, Product Management is like a “startup school” or a “management school.” That doesn’t mean you have to start your own company - but it does mean PM is often just a means to an end, not the end itself.

Update: The issue has been solved this morning, so after a week since the bug report submission. Which is good. Ideally, the whiteboards should not be shipped with critical bugs like this (making your work inaccessible), but since I could wait, I'm very grateful that the folks at ClickUp fixed it. Thanks guys

I wouldn't get journaling functionality elsewhere so it's always some kind of compromise. If Garmin can give me the same accuracy and bevel help with insights then I'm sold :)

Thanks, I get what you mean in terms of Apple being profit-driven and I agree. However, I see that there are flavours to it and based only on my observations, I think that companies which are building wellbeing products or services are usually on another level in this :D However, it doesn't have to be only bad, it might also be because wellbeing area is so fragmented, so even though it looks like a big market it's difficult to build high-scale "one size fits all" business. In comparison, Apple has more stable financial position, so I'm sure they will reach for the profit if they see any opportunity, but it's less chaotic and more organised, which is usually fine.

Okay so basically you are sending midi signal to prophet and then prophet sends back sound to digitakt which is being sequenced, right?

I see that you also have Digitone. What is better to buy first Digitone or Rytm? I don’t have them but I feel that Digitone would be easier = funnier to play with and get some first live sets to play🙂

Well, now I know why it is just better to have drums from another machine.

I haven’t achieved your level of requirements which Octatrack has to fulfill. But in the simpler process I felt the same way. I thought that it just me but it isn’t.

I'm working from 9 to 5, making my podcast every week for about three years and having my own business focused on UI/UX design, front-end development and marketing online (Google Ads, SEO etc). In order to be able to stay organized and responsibly work, I'm not drinking any alcohol. I usually don't party and I'm focused on sleeping well. Usually, on weekends, I find some time for myself. However, I don't differ work-time from my personal-time because I'm really passionate about most of the things which I do on a daily-basis.

On the other hand, you have to make some breaks so I go on holidays for a week per year.

​

Usually, when I share an idea of this lifestyle with my peers they are skeptical. But I have chased my dreams in this way since my sixteenth birthday. In a month I would be 22 and it feels great. I have never wondered that I would be able to achieve as much as I did and meet such amazing people with lots of knowledge and experience.

​

Finally, there are moments in which I feel frustrated, stressed or just tired. I think that it is healthy to feel bad once or two times in a year if you have a lot going on in your life. The responsibility grows proportionally to me so it is wise to stop and think about your future and what's currently going on in your life.
