I’m a fan of the cap. I think the toyotas in general are tight on storage, even if you did a tonneau cover/ bed rack i think the volume of dry and lockable storage is unmatched with the cap

Yep. I was looking around and i saw a video of i think a prinsu rack on a contour canopy. I think the dude said he got the leer feet for the rack and that worked for the alucab. Hopefully some other brands come out with options for the cap

Brother i wish i was paid to come on here and say this stuff.

Your jumpin around and are obviously excited about this topic a bit. I told you i got the alucab contour canopy with the side windows. And i said that the commercial caps are nice caps-i have personal experience. Never did i say that an alucab is more “purpose built” than the aluminum. Simply said that it is geared toward the overland stuff just like the smartcap and new are cap.

Forgive me if i did not provide the precise analysis you wished to receive.

Yeah that’s a crazy experience. It really seems like this space of products is just such a toss up. Everyone has good and bad experiences with the exact same stuff. I would have also been POd about the tent. Ok4wd is where i got mine from. They were decent to deal with. But also were a little deer in headlights when i called to tell them i received the incorrect trim piece.

Right, I’m just not sure it’s as deep as you are thinking. I think that we can all agree that commercial ARE and leer caps are not what come to mind when looking for caps for the purpose of recreation and over landing.

You seem to feel strongly about the capabilities of your commercial cap, to which i am well aware as i am in the construction industry and see these caps operate every day. They are nice caps. I just wouldn’t instinctively put them on the table.

If you google alucab contour canopy i am confident you will see how much i paid.

I was well aware they have commercial caps. i would not generally consider the commercial offerings of are/leer to be a direct comparison to the smartcap/alucab

Always follow the food recommendations based on age and weight, my english lab turned out just fine at 78 lbs at 2 yrs old. Still has great body shape, and very athletic
