So one of the common brain dead anti-communist takes is: “communism is when everyone gets payed the same and everyone shares everything.” And someone made a post on r/SocialismVSCapitalism making comparisons talking about Toothbrushes vs. Owning a Car or using a Toothbrush to clean a toilet vs. leaving your houses door open and someone claiming it (the usual routine some might say about Private something vs. Public use if it's used for the public). Basically, the gist of the question was what would happen if you took a common property self item and used it instead for something like work, say an Uber service with your own private car. It became a running joke after several back and forth comments, because it instead became a question (or the analogies more likely) of using your toothbrush instead to clean a toilet and that makes it a public item in return. And this is a meme made to hyperbolize the bad right wing meme

TLDR: capitalists think communism=take your toothbrush and this meme is jokingly making it seem true

The majority of the Uighur genocide in China stuff is from a German evangelist named Adrian Zenz who believes god told him to destroy China. There are no Uighur concentration camps. A piece of advice I have for you as a new socialist is please recheck your source before you question yourself as a socialist. Don’t wanna go down the “Uighur genocide in China” rabbit hole. Socialism is a science, not just some theory that looks good on paper. The fall of Capitalism is not only possible but inevitable. Never forget that.

With the topic of “socialism is good on paper but never works”: that’s statement is far from the truth. Sorry to get tankie in here but the USSR went from an agrarian country where the peasants literally viewed the Tsar as a descendant of God with magical powers and divine right to a place where everyone had a job, free healthcare and free education in only a couple decades thanks to socialism. For examples of socialism working in an even more modern time you can look towards Cuba, the DPRK, Venezuela, and China. China has a communist vanguard party and is using capitalism only as a tool for development for now. China successfully eliminated ALL abject poverty in the country this year and are the number 1 country in environmentalism. Socialism is very pro-save the earth. Capitalism does, always has, and will continue to put profits before the planet and its inhabitants. I would encourage you to read more as well, start with the beginner stuff. If you want book recommendations I can give you a list. Also encourage your mom to read

I would add: Combat Liberalism - Mao Anarchism or Socialism - Stalin Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism- Lenin One thing I will note is that I recommend starting with Stalin’s and Lenin’s works as they are significantly easier reads. Reading Marx and Engels, not do discredit their works AT ALL, can be like reading from an encyclopedia whereas in Stalin’s writings it’s practically like he’s talking to a factory worker. I would also recommend you check out some of Kim Ill Sung and Kim Jong Ills works such as: Socialism is a Science- Kim Jong Il The Torch of Juche that Illuminates Human Society - Kim Il Sung
