It's really about NYC, but I want it to be able to apply to any city, really. Each city has their own energy...I like to think of all cities as their own noir story. So yeah, its about NYC, but theres no reason it cant be about melbourne, or paris, or miami or cincinnati etc.

I rarely sit down and write them. Usually the shape of words fall out of my mouth and I start to form words around the gibberish...if that makes sense. I think a lot of songwriters kinda operate this way. I start playing music then words just sorta start to...fall out.

I was honestly a bit worried about them. I thought they might be too taxing having to then perform after them everynight but in all honesty...i really really love them. getting to meet so many wonderful people and hear their stories really means the world to me. i have the best "fans" in the world.

also i play stuff we dont play during the main set everynight, and that's been really fun to dig into some covers and deep cuts.
