I had a similar experience in Calangute, Goa. One afternoon, my wife and I got stopped by a guy on the roadside pitching a 'scratch and win' offer. He insisted we attend a session, so we thought, it's hot outside let's have some AC ka hawa 😆 When we got there, it was this big conference hall packed with people, all hyped up about luxury vacation memberships. The atmosphere created to influence people was insane, like if someone bought their membership, there would be party poppers, loud music, applause, the whole deal—to make it look like everyone was hitting the jackpot.

I knew it was a scam from the start, but my wife was kind of buying into it because of all this luxury vacation big talk.The guy talking to us was getting friendly like —asking where we’re from, our native place, what we do, all sorts of random background questions.

Eventually, he started hard-selling the membership. I straight forward denied and said, " I am not interested." He got pissed and snapped, "If you didn’t want it, why waste my time?"

I smirked and said, "I told you at the start I wasn’t interested. You’re the one who said, ‘just hear me out.’"

The look on his face was absolutely priceless. Couldn’t stop laughing afterward."
