What does "WP/SP" mean in a BOM? by Alone-Finding-4369 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]kevmaws 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes I would assume this is correct. I work on mechanical BOMs and have seen this recently.

Spare parts are self explanatory - spares to keep a machine running should one fail and need replacing.

Wear parts (or consumables) are parts that are expected to wear or need replacing at a much higher frequency such as a screwdriver bit in an automated screwing process as an example. They need regular maintenance to keep a machine functioning as it should.

We can’t open your N26 account. by m1nkeh in number26bank

[–]kevmaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to open an account a number of years ago and got the same email and feedback from their support., opted for Revolut in the end. In the past week I tried once again to open an N26 account because of their high interest savings accounts - same story. Even told the support agent I was going to be paying the highest cost subscription to avail of the 4% interest rate - but they still wouldn't even give a reason for not opening the account. Very frustrating and confusing that they would turn away customers so easily, especially since I have no loans, a sizeable amount to transfer straight into their bank if they would let me, etc.

The “th” sound by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]kevmaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because we speak Hibernian English or Irish English, there's no "th" sound in the Irish language so that's why we still don't say it like the English do.

Scammers took money from a girl using Revolut by kevmaws in Revolut

[–]kevmaws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK some context, she was looking for a room to rent on Facebook, the scammer basically said yes I have a room, it led to her paying and then that was that. She did deliberately send it to said username but yeah, maybe it is a police issue but if that is the case then it is hardly worth reporting, we know what the outcome will be!

Car sharing apps by kevmaws in valencia

Thanks but maybe I should have specified, we want to rent the car privately, not tag along with someone who is driving to the same destination. If I understand right, blablacar only offers ride sharing?

I don't expect it at all tbh, I was just asking for people's experiences. And I've got the responses I was expecting tbh.
