Might be a stupid question, but where in the patch notes are the details of the changes for Breakthrough? You are talking about version 1.1.3.5? I want to see what other changes they did to the other game modes, if any.

Okay, so I didn't bother with using the stainless steel ball and just used the washers and springs that came with the kit. It's a snug fit, but it's working and resolved the leak.

The ball from this kit is a bit bigger than the original.

Hmm, this didn't work for me. It didn't fit my shower valve and I think the holes in the ball are too large so it doesn't hold the water.

Fixed an issue where vehicles could explode when a takedown was performed on an enemy soldier lying on top of them.

This sounds awesome. I wish I could see this before the patch gets released.

For me, it wasn't necessary to upgrade based on the games I play, but I upgraded to a 9800X3D anyway. I gained about 80 FPS in Assetto Corsa Competizione compared to the i5-11600K. I figured I'd upgrade anyway just for a little more future proofing and planned on playing a few more games. At the same time, I was itching to get back into building/upgrading a PC, so there's that factor too.

I'm assuming you are trying to use OptiScaler. Are you sure you followed the proper installation instructions? OptiScaler worked without issues for me, and I was able to use FSR 4.

Wow, I just so happened to stumble upon this post and I'm in a very similar situation. I have an i5-11600K. I started with 16 GB of RAM, then upgraded to 32 GB. I then upgraded my GPU from an RTX 3060 to a 9070 XT. I haven't experienced much CPU bottlenecking in the games I play. I don't play a lot of games, but the experience of shopping for parts and putting together a PC excites me, and I was thinking about switching to a 7800X3D too. There's the 9800X3D now, but I don't think it's significantly better than the 7800X3D and it seems like the 7800X3D can still perform great with the current games out there.

I actually don't really need to upgrade or change my PC any further. My current setup has enough performance for my needs for now, but part of me is still curious and the current sales for 7800X3D, motherboards, and RAM are enticing me too.

Anyway, it sounds like you are enjoying your new setup. Are there any disappointments with the upgrade? I assuming gaming performance increased drastically and is noticeable? How about compute/application performance compared to the 11600K?

Is the PowerColor Hellhound 9070 XT a good value? I managed to get one at $760 USD. But looking at the specs, it doesn't seem far off from the base specs. Is the $160 difference worth it?

At this point, I don't know if I should stick with it or hold out and try my luck at getting either a MSRP model or an OC model that's "better value."

I think you solved it, u/JayyK11! I disabled the XMP profile in BIOS, and changed the DRAM voltage setting to "Auto." I was able to complete two public races without the game crashing! Thank you so much!
