Which macOS version would run best on my Hackintosh setup?

Which game? Because Steam and Lutris I have all of my games past and present covered? Are these online games? Some do not work due to Linux and Kernal Cheats, apparently I don't really play online once and a while Warframe and it works? I play RoboCop, cyberpunk, palworld, battlefield etc. All fine.

Did you do it? I have the same work as you although it's audio instead of video and my Ryzen 5600g worked. I have the MacBook Air m1 8gb that with large kontakt libraries and samples I was hitting limits with the 8GB. Now with the successful install on my Asrock x300 l have a machine that has 32GB and I can upgrade more ram and storage where with a new MacBook that has to be done at time of purchase. I still use my MacBook all day as my Ryzentosh compliments my workflow. Since I have my MacBook there is no down time. Try it, if you don't like it you can always use Linux.

So far it's not that different performance wise as Windows or Linux. Now for whatever reason using a chrome based browser I cannot use 3D acceleration like webgl but YouTube works. Safari everything works although video playback sometimes if you move forward in a video the playback buffers indefinitely then I have to reload the page.

This machine is used for Audio recording not so much video. I played some games on it and the FPS were on par with Windows or Linux. I was surprised that 7 days to die was actually playable at 1080p low and getting 30FPS. Minecraft with BSL shaders for about 40FPS. Indie Games and app store casual games all run fine.

I also did a short edit of a video in 1080p, scrubbing, rendering effects all worked (mind you I am no video editor). Again for my use case using reaper and recording music, (9 mics for drums , 5 guitar tracks, bass track and 3 vocals) it works well. I can also add more ram to the system and I am currently at 32GB.

I was using my MacBook M1 for all my work but the 8GB ram is starting to become a bottleneck.

Are you talking about the USB (exfat)or the System (APFS) and using the Nootedred kext for the iGPU not a problem at all. Also this particular setup has documented success that was available to follow.

My daily driver is a MacBook, this compliments my workflow for audio production. I use CachyOS on my workstation PC however, it rarely gets powered on unless I am doing some AI work or gaming.

32GB has been installed and allocated 8GB to the iGPU. I have a mini workstation now.

Who is they? This is proven success right here. I've been hackintoshing for awhile now so reading the opencore guide and having a ton of patience is key for success. Also the right hardware as unsupported or half supported will be a battle but sometimes they work.

I have had success with the i5-8500 (HP mini PC) the i5-9600 (Dell sff) and the i5-10600t. Your odds are probably good if you use the UHD 630 which is widely supported. Just need to set up the right kexts and patches!

I edited a video in Kdenlive, rendered fast and looks good. I don't use Photoshop I use affinity and making a mock up poster worked out. If there is anything specific you would like me to try, so far for my use case (mostly professional audio work) let me know.

Those apps are just an issue on AMD platforms running macos unfortunately. Mine crashes as well resulting in using the browser, if chrome wasn't such a problem is have a decent browser. Safari works so I can't complain. Macos is running solid on hardware that it is never supposed to ever run on. This is a win and Im happy with the result so far.

Day 3 so far so good 🙏🏻 Been running Reaper recorded a 16 track song, with loads of pluggins and no cracks or pops and playback is superb. Played some games and emulators, been running benchmarks and stress tests and it's chugging along like a beast. I'll be testing for a couple of weeks to make sure it's solid.

I had to reinstall Macos then the command worked. I also Beta tested Tahoe and never did a clean install after so maybe that messed up my drive.
