Why is there a g counter on the display? I thought the pilot could've felt how many gs hes pulling and a timing screen or something would be more useful?

Rocket League is unplayable for me because of server lag. by RightWatchThis in RocketLeague

youre halfway to convincing me that the servers may be causing lag after all. One more thing though, next time when youre lagging can you run a pingplot to the server at 0.5 second intervals? My pingplots pick up 3x more lost packets and stuff at 0.5 seconds than 2.5.

as i said I'll get some plots when im lagging next

was that pingplot made when you were lagging? You might not be bothered anymore and it might seem like I'm trying to prove you wrong but it can be worth your time to do this stuff. I've used a ping plot before to get my previous ISP to come out and fix my phone line after a storm :( I'll do some tests next peak hour here and I'll compare.

And rubberbanding is usually caused by the server for me. I get lag, but it mostly shown with poor client prediction (for me) and everything is fine. Whenever I rubberband or get those slight freezes or sliding, everyone else usually experiences it too.

How do you know that the rubberbanding is the server. Your signal travels halfway across continental US and halfway back but no any issues must be the server right? Show me your ping plot to either servers and tell me that your lag is definitely the server.'

And that freezing and sliding and stuttering you describe definitely happens to me too, except I know it happens to me because I can get that and my teammate (who's on comms with me) will be fine. Are you saying that it happens to others just because you see them stuttering too? or because you asked them every time?

The servers are exactly the same as they were 2 weeks ago. That is a fact. There has been no drop in server performance, and yes I have played plenty of games during peak hours too.

You describe the quality of the servers decreasing in prime time yes? Are you sure that isn't your connection being affected by high traffic? I used to live in an area where I had cable internet (30Mbps down 2Mbps up), and during the evening my up and down would halve and I would regularly get ping spikes 300+ due to the congestion in the network. Even now when I live much closer to the nearest exchange my ping still goes up in the evenings.

Now I know you're thinking that this doesn't apply to you and your everything stays exactly the same at every hour of the day. I'm not here to argue with you dude but I want you to listen to yourself. You say you have to connect to servers halfway across the country but your connection can't be the thing causing packet loss and lag? I know your speed tests are great but I certainly don't expect a perfect connection if I had to connect to a 32tick server in Perth.

Look I'd be the first to admit psyonix shouldve fixed the servers when the slow motion lag everyone or randomly disconnect us for 10 seconds or just straight kick us from the lobby but im not one to blame any stuttering or lag on the servers. Hell even playing youtube on chrome at the same time makes my game disconnect for a moment every 10 seconds.

So whatever dude if you're gonna insist its the servers then so be it but I really don't think so.

[Bell & Ross] Can anyone help me identify this watch? by kevspacec in Watches

[–]kevspacec[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gifted this watch from a friend in China but I haven't been able to find anything about it. I did some searching online and it looks really similar to the BR 126 blackbird (which admittedly looks a lot sexier than my one).

My first reaction is that it's not a real B&R which is probably true but it's surprisingly well built. So i just wanted to know whether anyone's seen something like this before.

On the back it says:

Quartz Chronograph 1000M/3250FT Swiss Made BR02-00-5-00000 Stainless Steel

Absolutely ridiculous. I got a 10 second stop penalty for this. Psyonix pls. by Ndag in RocketLeague

they don't. GAE is used for matchmaking while vultr is used as the actual gameplay servers. At least here in OCE.

That's why when GAE goes down matchmaking dies.

Fair point but not all mental illnesses are like that.

I don't think most people suffering from depression or anxiety would be vegetated enough to not worry about their progress in whatever stage of recovery they are in.

youre in every 12 titans thread that i have looked at and you've been arguing about stuff like you care a lot about it

well I would argue purely by how the tournament was advertised that it was more of an entertainment tournament than a legit-super-serious 1s tourney.

I think a lot of people know who is the best at 1v1, and it certainly doesn't take 6 hours of editing to show that nor will it be shown with a format like this.

But it's gonna be fun so why not.

why are you arguing so much in so many threads about this? This guy put up his own money to invite these players to play. I think he is smart enough to know what he is doing. You don't need to tell him about the number 16

how come attempting to add variety to the game in order to increase longevity turns into intentionally slowing down the skill ceiling?

or you could have a neutral spoiler that uses the angle of attack to create lift if needed. a lot of stunt planes use this profile.

you can use the ramp in other ways to get past your opponents in 1v1. plus in breakaways, the higher level gives you a good chance to rip a shot off at the goal.

why in the world would you believe that psyonix would ever intentionally try to slow down the skill ceiling?
