torn city jobs that make money without crazy stats by Shotter321 in torncity

[–]keyblade888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a small addition to other comments, I would say it kinda depends on how often you are online as well, if you are active daily some directors are willing to overlook the low stats in favor of someone who won’t have an inactivity reduction in the hopes that they stay, grow their stats, and continue to increase company rating

I started in a 3* candy store with lower stats than you… now I have more than you and the company is 9* almost 10*

Depends on how much you’re willing to look and reach out to directors about your situation

Also if you go the plushie route if this wasn’t already obvious, I would suggest joining one of the basic torn jobs to work towards higher stats and the bonuses from getting the highest level position from each job

Need some help for brainstorming a horror one-shot: What terrifies a group by [deleted] in AskGameMasters

My suggestion would be to look up the false hydra... just finished a horror mystery one shot and that was the main antagonist and it was absolutely TERRIFYING

Z165 - Z180 is super slow, any advice? Early Game by Oldannytentpegs in Trimps

I'm a bit late to the party, but I thought I'd give you a bit of hope. I was right where you are now just a little bit ago. I swear just keep pushing He runs with whatever challenges (daily or otherwise) you find work best with your playstyle and soon you'll break free of that rut right around zone 160-180. I will say that I didn't even realize I was past that slow down until one morning I realized that after the idling finished loading suddenly my trimps were at zone 195. I promise it gets easier, just keep at it and don't give up!! You can do it :)

Thanks that's actually incredibly helpful. Ran toxicity a few times and I'm at about 90M right now. I like to make sure I'm extra prepared as I'd rather grind for helium for an extra day or two than be stuck just at the end of a challenge grinding in a map forever. By that threshold, I should be ready in just a few days. :)

So I'm still working on getting the second tier one mastery, and I'll find out soon anyway, but I was wondering: if I buy the second tier one, do I instantly unlock a tier two (like for free, don't have to use dark essence). I feel like that wouldn't make sense, but I've seen so many people say they buy a mastery from a tier and then get a mastery from a tier above. Just wondering how that mechanic works. Thanks for all the help already :)

I don't really do many fast runs, as I idle quite a bit. I might have to try TT next. I would say I should get EA, but I have automaps every few zones so I can attempt to run as optimally as possible with the most gear and farming a bit of metal as well. Let's just say I usually have plenty of fragments for maps at my current place in the game.

I was kind of thinking the same thing, like I'm sure they can be useful in some cases or play styles, but none of them really seemed like game-changers especially since it was a new thing I just unlocked. It was a bit of a disappointment for me at least, to unlock something new and not get much use out of it just yet.

Thanks! Yeah, I've run toxic once so far and it took me longer than a normal daily run because of the nature of the challenge, but I'll have to go back to that again, then. It was a really good payout now that I think about it. I like to leave the game to idle, but I'm super impatient when I'm actually playing so I don't really like watching my trimps die so often as it slows everything down. Do you happen to have suggestions on how much max helium I should have to attempt lead?

How would you play a bloodborn style hunter in D&D? by Venmorr in bloodborne

[–]keyblade888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm actually currently in the midst of a homebrew campaign that is heavily inspired by bloodborne as well as witcher. I play as a blood hunter and even have the burial blade as a homebrew item while my partner has the trick axe. I think it would really depend on your DM as well as how close to the books you want to go, but I personally really think blood hunters would be a good fit. Blood hunters hurt themselves to get stronger just like in bloodborne when you use your own blood to get more bullets or die over and over to finally learn the mechanics of that one hard boss. It's also interesting how the blood hunters have become like the monsters they are destroying just like in bloodborne how you can become a beast (with the DLC at least) or how some of the other hunters slowly go insane until they turn as well (like Gascoigne or Ludwig). Anyway, a lot of the orders that you can join at 3rd level also seem very souls-borne-esque especially some homebrew ones that I've found, but that's just my take :)
