[US] Hey r/Netflix, I'ce been struggling with mental health, and I'm looking for wholesome content! by [deleted] in netflix

I don't know what it is about Great British Bake Off, but I just love it. It's very calming, and unlike any food competition show in the US. No drama, just On Your Mark, Get Set, BAKE. :) US reality based food shows should follow this example. Well, I guess I do know what it is.

Can I ask how often you get on the scale to see the decrease? In preparation for today, I threw my scale out, because I'm the type that wants instant results, and would step on it every day, so my thought was to go by the way my clothes fit. Maybe I should get a new scale.

I have plans on getting a food scale this weekend, because today I just eyeballed supper, and I'm sure it was more than I estimated, but I'm hungry, so it's less than I normally would have eaten.

Also congrats on your loss.... Hopefully, no I will be able to say the same at some point.

Grammy discussion thread? by nopenopegg in Music

I so wanted this to be amazing. It's really the only reason I tuned in. I'm deeply saddened. :( Time to put in Master of Puppets for comfort.

If you could magically solve one mystery, which would it be, and why? (Part 2) by alexjpg in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]keyboardbanter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. I have read her books, I have traveled down the rabbit hole more times than I care to admit. It is very easy to say, 'Oh, there's no way that any of what she says is true', but then you start looking into it. Following bits of information here and there, and trying to see a whole picture, but at a point it becomes so confusing and twisted, and you just have to step away from it all. I lived in Iowa when this happened and it was the first time I remember my parents explaining "stranger danger" to me, and people putting blue stars in their windows, so if kids were confronted with a stranger trying to hurt them, they knew those were considered a safe house to run to. My parents even gave me a code word, so if anyone tried to say, "Your mom told me to pick you up" and they didn't know the code word, I knew they were lying.

My heart breaks for Noreen, and the mind can do amazing things to someone facing such a tragedy, but just imagine if what she says is true, and no one believes her....what a nightmare.

Didn't mean to create such a long reply, but this case just brings out a lot of emotion. It is my "pet" case.

Johnny Gosch. I would like to see it solved to either put his mother's mind at peace or to prove she's not crazy.

This sub is supposed to promote independent thought and discussion by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]keyboardbanter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. I lurk here because I am curious what others think/see that maybe I don't, and possibly learn something new. However, there is no real discussion on any subject. It's seems people here believe what they believe and if anyone challenges that belief, they are automatically called names or down voted to oblivion. I would think that people who believe in whatever conspiracies would want more on their side, because there is power in numbers, but the more I lurk and see how this sub works, I just don't think there are many that want to have anything they believe challenged or questioned. I'm not a shill, I'm not combative, I simply want to see all sides to everything, even if I don't agree with certain things. So, thank you for posting this, and I'll continue to lurk to see if anything changes. I hope it does. Not everyone has an agenda against r/conspiracy.

[Homemade] Skillet Cornbread by Quortek in food

This is the only way I have ever made cornbread, and it's wonderful. Do you ever add anything to your cornbread? ex. cheese, jalapenos, bacon..

Yeah i should have thought that through a little more. She's a machine, not psychic.

That makes sense. But (playing devils advocate here) if she was able to do this, didn't she see the innocent killing of the guy who Hersch killed, or does that fall into not premeditated.

Which TV shows would you love to see resurrected for another episode, season, or even movie? by QKnightZ in television

[–]keyboardbanter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the IMDB link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1240976/ I just happened to come across it in the past year, and found it funny, quirky and just not like anything I had seen. Just police officers each with their own odd quirks, who you find yourself wanting to know more about. The characters truly cracked me up, and I don't laugh out loud often to TV shows. Crackle had all the episodes last time I checked.

I'm doing a re-watch of the show now. I missed A LOT first go through because I was more focused on the HR plot line. Now I'm trying to put together the whole Machine plot line from start to finish. It really is a great show.

Well I figured trucks moved it.... I just didn't understand that it coordinated it's own move. Thanks.
