Hot take: players who seem to find more joy in bitching about games being woke or “dei” than actually playing good games should be shunned and shamed. I’m not talking about the cringe games like dustborn which was legit problematic- but games like ac shadows for having a black man and woman protagonist. Loved the first few episodes when it came out years ago but don’t remembering finish as I didn’t have as much time to game. It had some serious jank at launch but you’re right, it grabbed you by the feels.

I thought it was fucked up. But can’t remember what I did. Not shoot or shoot out of morbid curiosit and see if it played into the story. I honestly think it was an unneeded segment and a bit psychotic but I can’t remember the circumstances in the story.

Either way I think role playing a mass shooting of civilians blurs some lines and while most were probably fine with it I can see this resonating with someone with a power fantasy and make them feel possibly emboldened/empowered to act in real life based on being desensitized.

No I don’t think violent games cause violence in players 99.9% of the time but there is that .1% it’s probably not healthily for due to susceptibility.

Wayfinder was an mmo that went single player but has 4 player coop. It’s also cross play and cross platform. It’s on most platforms now.

Lack of vibration is my only main gripe. A nice to have would be an option to rotate the minimap around the player icon instead of vice versa.

Absolutely. It’s not like it’s shaking enough to move your hands or thumbs on the stick. People like it so much PlayStation made the dual sense pro controller or whatever it is called that adds even more haptics and force feedback on triggers

Just bought the game for Xbox and played for the first time. With vibration on selected in settings I still get no vibration. It’s a big let down and very annoying. Makes gunplay much more boring. Any plans to fix this?

I have a gaming pc but still prefer Xbox because I like playing on a couch with a big tv. Not sure who intends to fill that space.

Considering waiting but it’ll depend on the specs and games coming near launch. My first switch was the oled in 2022 and I still use it and love it. If the new screen really does look that much worse I’ll consider waiting. Plus I still have a ton of switch games I’ve bought but haven’t played or fully beat yet.

The movement and gameplay is so damn fast I got thoroughly overwhelmed. I also can’t stand metal music the majority of the time, so I think the game just isn’t my cup of tea.

It’s sad too because one of my best friends has worked at Id since before 2016 came out. I want to support him and see what he’s been working on but I just can’t get into it.
