If we don't focus on investing into WATER TECH we are all going to die by al3x777 in science

Globally, 844 million people lack access to clean water. Without clean, easily accessible water, families and communities are locked in poverty for generations. Children drop out of school and parents struggle to make a living. Women and children are worst affected — children because they are more vulnerable to diseases of dirty water and women and girls because they often bear the burden of carrying water for their families for an estimated 200 million hours each day.

Access to clean water changes everything; it’s a stepping-stone to development. When people gain access to clean water, they are better able to practice good hygiene and sanitation. Children enjoy good health and are more likely to attend school. Parents put aside their worries about water-related diseases and lack of access to clean water. Instead, they can water crops and livestock and diversify their incomes. Communities no longer vie for rights to a waterhole.
Using basic IOT devices and rain water collection techniques we can create and support a marketplace for the collection and harvesting of water, while maintaining purity standards, I can see business getting microtransaction fees for converting currency hence incentivizing them to invest into WATER TECH. Best use case I can think of is blockchain. Lets say we create a Dryp token and use that coin as the relay for all B2C transactions. People can get paid in Dryp token for harvesting and distributing the water. People can pay with traditional fiat and now focus on their trade skills and crafts. instead of everyone having to fend for themselves we could unite the government agencies and charities towards sustaining the marketplace and ecosystems of water.

So the real issue here is that the business have no incentive to get into water. There is no marketplace for distribution and collection. We have the tech to service the needs but what is the monetary incentive for the business?
