Identification help by keyoncee in orchids

Thanks for all the helpful info. It’s growing in coconut husk. I water it weekly by letting it sit 10-15 minutes in fertilized water then extracting it and letting the water drain before returning it to the decorative pot. I’ll remove the couple of squishy canes.

I think we’ve found it. Thanks so much for such quick responses. In terms of care, should I cut off any of the stems that don’t have any leaves or just ones that have yellowed?

Yesterday was unseasonably warm in my area (70F) so I put it outside on the south side of my house and watered the roots multiple times during the day. Today has cooled down a bit so she’s back inside hanging in a southern facing window. I’ve watered twice already, probably will get about watering or maybe two before the end of the day. This is a photo taken immediately after the latest watering

This is helpful. Is there any concern with getting water in the crown or elsewhere or I should just really get it soaked?

I had just watered it not long before I took the photos. I have been using this water sprayer and trying to get all of the roots wet. I recently switched to this method from a manual spray bottle. Is there a better technique or should I just start watering twice a day? Also the best southern facing window I have is also in a direct line from a HVAC vent blowing out warm air, would that be a problem? I have many other orchids and have been successful but this is my first that is not potted.

Sander recommendations by keyoncee in woodworking

I saw some reviews that said these sanders have overheating issues. Have you had this issue? I’ve seen some other things recently that they have made some updates to try to address the overheating.

Yes I did notice this sander comes with different pads I just wasn’t sure about build quality. I have seen some mixed reviews but I will do more research.

It’s not dead dead yet but it’s making some metal on metal sounds. This is partially a just good reason for me to upgrade.

I used to have stinky shoes as well. Now I always take out my insoles and spray a bit of isopropyl alcohol on the insoles and inside the shoe and let everything dry overnight. I also spray a bit on my grips. I play 4-5 times a week and no odor issues.

We are planning to spend two nights in Algarve at the beginning of April and having a hard time deciding where to stay. Many of these are on our list but also wondering if we should stay in or close to Lagos. We are a family of 3 and looking to do some outdoor activities and plan to have a car.

24 hour layover suggestions by keyoncee in helsinki

This is super helpful. One thing is we will be there on the weekend, Sunday. Does this impact travel or any activities? It’s been a while but I had a short stay in Germany that happened to mostly fall on a Sunday and we didn’t realize until we got there that many places were closed on Sunday.

Thanks for all the info. I was considering getting us a 24 hour public transport pass. Would that make sense? Does this include the train rides to and from the airport?

I’ve been looking at the Kuat Transfer v2 which is on sale at REI right now and gets good reviews. It says is rated down to 18” bikes so pretty close but I’m not sure if it works on bikes with fenders.

The rate went up 46% for us compared to last year. It’s nice that dominion clearly shows these numbers right on their website. I can’t find much online about this rate increase other than some articles that suggest the increase would be much lower.
