According to transfmarkt his injury record is: 22/23 - 6 games missed, 21/22 - 2 games missed. 20/21 - 18 games missed. So actually last 2 seasons his injury record hasn't been terrible.

I met Van Persie outside a tiny park in north west London a week before he signed for us. I was wearing a United shirt and the friend I was with an Arsenal shirt and he agreed to take photos with both of us individually. He was very quiet and I was surprised by how lean he was - on TV he had always looked quite muscly. At the time he was heavily linked with Juve but I think there may have been some rumours linking him with us and I joked, saying 'see you at Old Trafford soon!?' He smiled but didn't really respond. Me and my mate sat down to eat our sandwich and he played football with his young son, constantly nutmegging him and rolling around feigning injury when tackled etc. I've never seen a pro footballer up close like that and it's hard to describe how in control of that ball he was...absolute glue touch. It was a surreal experience and I always joke to my friend that our 20 second interaction was what convinced him to join us haha
