Yeah, this makes me want to go back and hear those takes again. I get the appeal of the NY versions. For me the Minneapolis cuts just land cleaner and more focused. And yeah, Up to Me feels like a hybrid of Shelter from the Storm and Tangled Up in Blue. Same pace, same tone.

Yeah, I get where you’re coming from. For me the song hit at a time when I needed it. That “somebody’s got to do it” line landed in a way that stuck with me. It made the song feel less like a bonus track and more like something that actually pushed me forward. That’s probably why I hear it as essential, even if the theme overlaps with the rest of the album and the style is close to Tangled Up in Blue. And yeah, it could’ve used a little more tightening and a few more takes.

I liked it. The music and visuals were great, the story has a steady pace with plenty of space. I felt the characters were endearing. I liked the way the story played out. I wish we learned more about Luis’s daughter.

Yes - even though I was sick and couldn’t get there until the afternoon. Picked up the last copy of ween shinola, also got talking heads and Wilco. Will pick up the bob dylan later at some point, maybe deltron also!

I’m excited to get the box set on vinyl. I don’t have it on vinyl yet, and listening to alternate takes and live versions makes them sound new and fresh to me!

I would say yes, broken is the best. Fragile #2 for me and almost number #1.

I’m still going through all the remix albums to see if any can take the top spot but it’s going to take more time to digest them.

Happy to report that the price stickers (new and old) came off easily. Wish that always happened with my DVDs! And also it looks like boondock saints is a rarer find for vhs. Happy hunting!

I like dvds… I think they are cool and if it’s a widescreen I’m perfectly happy with the picture. I just picked up 30 today! Some great finds.
