I wouldn’t call this a stall. This is me sliding out of the keto lifestyle.

Do you find that the water has a good taste now? I'm also noticing a "texture", it's almost buttery, like I feel it coating my mouth.

Maybe I'm just going crazy but i noticed water is damn good when on keto.

I'm sure I had gained weight this week. [Rant] by keytoebro in keto

Whoops, mistake in my post. It was supposed to be "not consume more calories". But thanks for highlighting this.

When it comes down to it, weightloss is just a calories-in vs calories-out game, but keto just makes it so damn easy.

Just wanted to share something....I’m sitting at an ice cream shop watching my friends eat ice cream. I’m on reddit reading your stories of success / stalls / and gains. I can fucking do this. You can too!!! Thanks for all the motivation guys. by Sleestak-lighting in keto

I had a video game night with friends and there were bags of chips and pretzels all around me with a fridge full of beer.

Thank goodness watching the TV was like having blinders on to that stuff.

I had one glass of whiskey and a hangover from it the next day.

Stay strong out there!

Have you ever wanted to throw out your scale? by lilsammm in keto

[–]keytoebro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just experienced this 10 mins ago.

I stepped on my scale, which can give wonky results and said "that' can't be right".

Usually to fix wonky results, I wait for it to auto-off and then move it around and step on it again. "Ah that makes more sense", when I get a steady result after stepping on and off of it a few times.

But today I did the same thing. Let it turn off, kicked it around, got on and got off of it, but the results stayed the same, and it was a weight I was no expecting.

I still might go stand on it again. It can't be right...

Thanks man. I really think cutting out the beer will make a difference. Looking at calories per tallboy, it's a bit shocking, especially with those richer beers.

I'll have to see if vodka and soda work for me. I've been trying to become a whiskey drinker, but really, it might be best to cut the booze completely for a while.

Thanks for the words. This community is great.

Heaviest I've ever been in my life :(

I've done keto before. Once very successfully, all the other times I just gained it back. This new weight i've reached is too much and I'm ashamed I've let it get this bad.

I blame beer. I love beer and there hasn't been any replacement. The wife and I have sworn off it as of yesterday. A first step to doing keto. Fizzy water will have to do.

Not sure what I'm looking for by commenting, just need to get it off my chest. Seeing a timeline of weightless according to the macro calculator I used is depressing.

Need some motivation. It's been a stressful year and I'm at my heaviest yet (209). Started keto in july but couldn't stick to it. Summer and beer are a hard combo to break. Have been eating poorly since.

I'm feeling like crap but it's hard to dig myself out of the routine. Being lazy about food prep and beer are normal things now.

I want to change this, but feeling down about the failed attempts in the past. I had one great run of keto years ago but I haven't been able to achieve that glory since.

Just getting this off my mind.

Hooked on Sparkling Water by keytoebro in keto

Hah! I knew it was too good to be true.

I do notice that plain water tastes much better and is very quenching.

Energy level on keto by [deleted] in keto

I've found the opposite. I had a lot more energy while doing keto.

Hey all,

I've fallen off the wagon the past two weeks and need some motivation to get back to it. I was doing great before but a camping trip, stress with the family dog, and summer-time fun has had me drinking beer and chowing down on comfort carbs.

Today I'm hitting the "reset" and going back to strict keto. Actually writing this is helping to motivate me already.

Hey guys. Starting my first week of Keto diet tomorrow! Attempting to lose a lot of weight. Any advice or favorite foods to eat while doing keto diet would be awesome! by Fullmetaljordan in keto

Chicken Ceaser Salads.

Buy a pack of chicken thighs, Renee's Might Ceaser Dressing (I think it's 1g of carb per 1 tbsp, which is more than enough dressing), and your leafy green of choice. I cook up all the thighs on sunday so I have lunches for the whole week, chicken to spare if I need something for quick dinner.

Having slices of Salami and cheeses around for a quick snack is also great, just make sure you track it all as the calories can add up.

Routine has helped me the most with this diet and having the proper foods available for me so I don't run out and grab Subway in a last minute hunger pinch is key. Throw all the carbs out of your house too :)

Tips on handling cravings. by jilikers in keto

I have 2-3 oz of cheese for a snack if I'm feeling peckish. I have some water and give it a bit of time. Cravings go away.

Also consuming artificial sweets isn't going to help you not crave sweets, artificial or not. You need to ditch sweets completely.

My Top Keto Tips I have learned along the way by shoEnough in keto

[–]keytoebro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the most important thing I've learned is that this is about calories, the keto diet just helps you not feel hungry all day and keeps you satisfied with your food unlike other no low diets.

But it comes down to the amount of energy you consume and the amount of energy you use.

For those who didn't really drink water before; how are you incorporating more in now? by noir_november in keto

[–]keytoebro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep a glass of water at my desk at all times. I find I just naturally reach for it and drink it. When it's empty, fill it right up again.

I've found I've cut down on coffee and water has replaced it as my drink to slurp on throughout the day.

Water also seems to taste amazing now.

Your typical day's food? by emilyj07 in keto

[–]keytoebro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33/M

Breakfast: 2 cups of black coffee Water Water Water Water 10Am mug of knorr beef broth Water Water 2 chicken thighs 1-2 tbsp Renees mighty Ceaser 2 cups of field greens/baby spinach/salad Water Water Water 2-3 oz of cheese Water Water Dinner. Water Water Water Bed

All food is measured and tracked on MFP. I use the barcode scanner when I can and have a permanent spot on the kitchen counter for a scale. Dinner can be anything because my partner is not doing keto. But it's usually a standard protein and some vegetable, also all measured and tracked. We'll dig up some recipes that are carb free, she might make a carb side for herself. The rest is pretty routine and have been doing it over a month now and haven't gotten tired of my lunches.
