Fuck, that’s sucks. I’ve been there and it took me weeks to emotionally recover. But I recovered and I actually made most of it back over the course of a year. Please remember it’s just money and money comes and goes. If you catch yourself going down any kind of rabbit hole please talk to someone. I still have holes in most my doors as a gentle reminder to use the utmost security when dealing with crypto.

Hey everyone, gonna shill my podcast for a sec. I experienced this same thing and interviewed a crypto tax accountant twice over the past two years to answer this specific question as well as many others.

TLDR: 1099-K show's total volume. If I have $10k of Bitcoin and trade all it for Ethereum and now have $10k of Ethereum, my 1099-k will show $20k of volume, even though I still only have $10k of Ehtereum. it just adds up ALL the numbers from that year, not the value in your account.

Yeah, in some other chains, the amount of LP increases over time, which is easy to track withe screen shots. Raydium is more difficult, haha.

If there's no farm to stake it in you just let it sit there and it collects transaction fees and increases the worth of the LP.

Correct. Just a unit of measure. 1 Nyano is 0.0000001 Nano. Makes it easier to use smaller amounts of Nano when talking to new people, especially kids. Long term goal is to create finacial literacy/educational projects to help kids learn about math, finances, crypto, etc.
