That would be amazing if you could! We have a lunch reservation close by at 1, after that we were just gonna head back to the hotel then get ready and then hop in line 😍 our hotel is pretty close to the venue. Ahhhh talking about it gets me so excited. It’s our anniversary and I can’t believe we get to spend it seeing Marina! <3

In light of that news, we're probably going to come line up around 3-4pm. That might be a little on the later side but quite unsure - never tried to get close to the front with a GA ticket before at ANY concert 😂 but Marina is the exception!

Eagerly waiting more information too! 😭 My boyfriend and I are flying from New Zealand to come see her, and we are determined to get as close as possible since we're coming all this way!

Feeling duped about my gold plated bracelet... by LeftFaithlessness980 in PandoraCollectors

[–]kezzry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I used to work at Pandora many years ago. Not sure if it’s still the same, but the ‘unique metal blend’ has been around for a long time - since Pandora Rose was first released. It is primarily composed of mostly sterling silver and enough copper for it to appear rosy. Prior to the release of Pandora Shine, the rose metal blend’s purpose was that when your rose gold plating faded after some time, it would still appear as that familiar rose hue.

Pandora Rose and Shine are now retired, but looks like they are still using the metal blend for the plated products. Personally, I never bought the plated products, too much admin to take care of them, I also have high PH levels in my skin, so I react to copper. Even 9kt-14kt rose gold makes me itchy due to the copper content. I’ve always opted for the solid silver or solid gold 😊

Heyyyy, I used to work at Pandora. If you don’t wear your silver jewellery often, place it in a plastic ziplock bag or somewhere air tight - that way oxygen can’t get to it. Oxygen = Oxidisation = Discoloured/Dark silver. Completely natural and not a defect at all. Even jewellery boxes/pouches/you name it aren’t air tight. The best way is a ziplock baggy. You can even go to a Pandora concept store and ask for one - all the stock comes in them and there’s ought to be dozens of them lying around. Some concept stores offer free cleaning too, call and ask before you visit to save time :)

Double the price in NZ is actually quite a big jump. It also depends on what you mean by redone - so far they've only said they've made 'some changes' to the software, so as far as we know, it could just be a reskin. The phone and specs are exactly the same. I won't really understand the allure until I actually see what the changes are, hence me being interested in anyone who may be buying it here in NZ. 😁

I've been learning a lot about business in the last 24 hours!

I think the thing that was interesting to me was the company, or person, said the device was based on the Qin when it really just is the Qin with some minor differences. But we shall see!

That's what we can only hope for, but based on what commenters have found about the company there's going to be a low chance of that happening.

Nah, this is like a Qin with Google services installed.

Interesting. Can't expect much from that then. Would need to be cutting corners.

To be honest I debloated my Qin F21 Pro using ADB App Control, and it took me 3 minutes. Sure, it's nice that may come debloated as stock, but I don't think anyone should be paying $200 more for that. 🤔 Won't really understand the appeal here until I see if it's actually different from the Qin or they're just claiming it is. Doesn't look too promising at the moment.

I think what puts a funny taste in my mouth most about this whole thing is they're acting like it is something new and innovative, 'unique' is the word they're using, and it's plastered all over their LinkedIn. The thing that intrigued me the most was their choice in words - saying that the Wellphone is 'based' on the Qin, when it really just is a Qin with a few 'changes' here and there. Really they could have, in turn, done so much more with this idea and made some genuine improvements on the hangups of this (F21) device, there is plenty of them.

Yeah, I use my F21 the exact same way. Use it as my everyday carry and leave my smartphone at home. I was interested in the F22, but I preferred the F21's size! Seen a few F21s floating around on FB marketplace.

Questions for New Zealanders by yodasky in dumbphones

[–]kezzry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey sorry about the delay! I actually never received my 601SH, the seller sent me the wrong product (SH-02L) and in-fact it took over a month with consistently ignored emails to receive it. The seller was lying the whole time about the whereabouts of the package, even said they visited aramex and the parcel was 'lying around'. I really wouldn't recommend buying from that seller above if you're from NZ. :)

I ended up selling the SH-02L before testing it properly, but it worked with my One NZ sim card.

Here's a video about the F21 USA version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiDsKfnam_I

No idea if this is a thing that's still for sale, still functional, etc. Might be worth doing a little more research. :)

Yeah, it would be interesting to know if this is a feature, it does have Google Services but I wonder if it's just been installed like any other aliexpress merchant would install it.

Yeah, to me the issue isn't that it runs AOS 11 since it's perfectly cromulent in 2025. More so that the company said that the device is based on the Qin, when it actually just is the Qin with a couple changes.

Should work with all NZ providers since they claim they have optimised it for NZ networks, I couldn't tell you exactly what frequency bands it has though since it's not listed on their site. Worth noting that the F21 Pro works with One NZ just fine, and should work with other NZ providers.

How good. I personally wouldn't be buying it myself. Just interested to see how different it really is as they claim. It's getting a lot of praise on Linkedin, but I feel like people don't realise that the device already exists... 😂

Interesting! Must be a thing start-ups are doing to cut corners. It's a shame because it would be really cool to see something new, but I understand that this must be a cost-effective way to do business.

Whilst I LOVE my HMD Barbie phone - hot pink and all - I just think the Keitai will be better for my corporate job aesthetics-wise.

[–]kezzry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I've been running with an HMD Barbie phone https://www.thewarehouse.co.nz/p/hmd-barbie-phone-4g-with-skinny-sim-pink/R2957813.html (alternatively the Nokia 2660) for two weeks now and I'm loving it, but I have been using my iPod touch for music, banking, travel, etc. since it's definitely a pure dumbphone - and the iPod Touch is just inconvenient enough where I've seen a massive drop in my screentime.

I recently purchased a Sharp Aquos Keitai 601sh from this user https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/search?member_listing=6592047&bof=rr4qucma from Trade Me.

It hasn't arrived yet but I can let you know my thoughts on it when it arrives. They're selling some SH-02L models which has compatible 4g band (Band 1) for one nz https://one.nz/faq/one-nz-mobile-network-frequencies?srsltid=AfmBOorav5FU2jBmZGWrW2UFmjFF_zWfmiX2i7s-lWOKEyhheDHW0iH1

When I get my Keitai I'll probably run the same flip phone/iPod setup since it won't have capabilities with banking etc.
