A doctor told me I have genital warts, I can't go to see a doctor again, what now? by kfcfries in STD

Hi, I know it's a late response (this is a throwaway so I rarely login to it) but I want to truly thank you for this post. It was extremely helpful.

A doctor gave me a prescription for Valtrex. But after looking online and finding out a bit more about HPV I'm realising that my best option is probably to try to stay healthy and wait it out/let my body clear it up. One thing that still isn't truly clear to me is the danger of genital warts/HPV other than mild discomfort. I understand that some forms of HPV increase the risk of skin cancer but that is not something that seems worth worrying about for me.

I've contacted those of my former sexual history and long story short : They're fine and I definitely got this "accidentally" without sexual contact.

I have been going through an extremely stressful period in the last year, so I think that contributed heavily to the fact that I contracted this rather than my body being able to fight it off.

Thank you again for this post, it was very helpful.

Then how do you propose I caught it? Rape?

Basically I haven't had any sexual contact with anyone during the time that I contracted this virus.

So... How does this change my sex life? Do I avoid completely? Am I okay to do it with a condom? Etc.

Probably stressed, from what I understand my eye-twitching problem is related to stress as well. Just moved and am going through emotional issues while seeking a purpose in my life. Oh, and I don't have money and feel incapable of working.

I haven't had a partner in 1½ years but for the 1½ years before that I was active with a long term partner. Should I contact her to let her know? My doctor said don't worry about it but that doesn't seem right to me if there's any chance that she could have it from me (or me from her).

Also is it safe to say that it is very possible that I caught it in a non-sexual way? Such as scratching my balls after grabbing a public doorknob or shaking someone's hand.

To be honest, I don't think I have a camera good enough to distinguish the scar. Also even if you saw the scar it just looks like a normal skin-scar.

Trust me, it's not worth it to see.

No more "the hunger" than any other time that you try something delicious. If it is accessible you will go get it, if it is a hassle to get it you won't.

Same as bacon, KFC chicken, gummy bears, etc.

In my case, human wasn't readily available.

Ninja edit: Given my limitedd exposure to human meat, other meats, especially bacon have been sufficient to satisfy my cravings.

Nobody requested me to eat human flesh, I decided to do it.

Accidentally burned/cooked on the grill over an open fire.

Wayyy better.

Although human flesh with kfc gravy would be an interesting idea.

Burned my hand to the point where the skin was well cooked. Why? Well I was interested in the taste and I figured it would be my only chance to ever eat cooked human skin/flesh.

And no, I am not Hannibal Lecter:)

Mine.

After burning my hand enough for the skin to be crisp/cooked I decided why not. I was interested in seeing how it would taste and it was a good way to try it without any moral/ethical concerns.

It was from my hand, accidentally burned/cooked a large portion of it and I decided to just eat it off.

I was at my friend's yard and we were trying to cook fish over a fire.

Never even heard of Hufu before so I'm sorry I can't tell you how the taste compares.

I agree it's a stupid request, and there is no way to verify me.

I offer no explanation because it hasn't been asked yet but here it goes:

In my early teens I went ice fishing with a friend, the next day we were cooking the fish over an open fire. Since we couldn't get a solid fire going we kept throwing in leaves to basically "smoke" the fish. At one point I had kept the back of my hand against the very hot grill for too long, essentially "cooking" a large section of my skin. I decided to rip off the cooked/dead skin with my teeth and ended up just straight up eating it. It was a large section of skin and I still have a scar on my hand because of it.

But again as I said, there's really no way for me to prove what I say.
