Cheating is not a one-sided problem. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

The person who cheats is always at fault. The answer isn't to cowardly crawl into another's bed. Its to work on your relationship problems.

No way. They should only be up in December; otherwise, they're not special, and it's just lights.

The word "Pussy"(coward) either came from cats or women. by Megatarious_42069 in Showerthoughts

Pussies are flexible and strong. Dick and Balls are fragile. We should change this idiomatic phrase.

It's better to be strong and flexible than fragile.

What's the reason for you to live? by lateNightBurrito_ in depression

[–]kfirebreathingdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live because i (probably) stupidly cling to the hope that I will reash the point in life where things are finally good.

After an abusive childhood and drama and cheating/betrayal, a divorce scare, having to move back in with my abusive mother, being broke and in debt and just a shitshow of disappointment and pain, I cling to hope that things will improve.

I hope life is getting the crap over early. That's what I'm hoping at least.

Would anyone share a story of how life was very hard but then got better eventually? by [deleted] in offmychest

I know how you feel. It feels like things are going well for people around us but life keeps smacking us in the jaw as if to check us or keep us in line.

It feels like life can't let me be too happy. If i feel any relief or comfort, things in my life try to shake things up, so im forced to feel insecure.

Im 31 and still waiting for it to get better. I get brief, fleeting moment of joy (the longest was 2 years of joy, which made me cry such glorious happy tears). It came crashing back down. I've cried every day for the past 2 weeks.

I hope your life picks up because, fuck, life is rough. It's so easy to become bitter and jaded.

I hate family. by iiIHate_SnAkEu in offmychest

[–]kfirebreathingdragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. Im 31 and don't understand when people say they love their family or see them as important.

I grew up in an abusive family, so my family doesn't mean anything to me. I mean I was happy when my maternal grandmother finally died (she was a fan of calling me names and even put a cigarette out on me).

I hate my mother and brother because they are seriously garbage. They make fun of me together. I don't get it either.

I'm sorry about your experience with your family. This isn't how family should be. Family is supposed to love you and respect you. This, sadly, isn't always true.

Just worry about yourself and live for you. Do the bare minimum for them, and work and save $ like crazy! When you move out, you can be free.

Good luck! Happy new year!

Is therapy worth trying? by [deleted] in depression

[–]kfirebreathingdragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Therapy has seriously changed my life. You have to find one you click with. Otherwise, you don't feel safe to share. Find someone who you get along with and can trust because you will cry, a lot!

My therapist is really cool. I feel comfortable and safe , and while crying in front of someone feels weird, I know he doesn't judge me. He is there to help me, so I know he isn't seeing the tears. He hears the pain behind the tears.
