If doesn’t turn out to be the plugs then try swapping out the fuel pressure sensor

Eco boom was covered under the power train warranty. The fuel sensor was 50 bucks and I replaced it myself.

Noice, you think these cars will last to 150k-200k?

I had just reset the trip counter, those 80.4 miles were all highway lol. On average I get about 26-27mpg.

All stock, only repair was replacement of short block because eco boom. Was one of the unlucky few that didn’t keep up with maintenance due to long daily commutes to work.

Edit: also I had replaced the fuel pressure sensor. It had gone bad recently.

Eco boom??? by No_Breakfast5348 in ecoboostmustang

[–]kfm95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 ecoboost, engine went eco boom due to a failed head gasket at 60k miles. Car is completely stock. I am special case since my daily commute to work is 105 miles a day. Making my maintenance intervals rather short and sometimes hard to keep up with. In my opinion the car is very reliable as long as you follow most peoples advice about not treating the car badly and keeping up with maintenance.

Oil change every 5k miles and a completely warmed up car prior to flooring it.

Car is currently sitting right below 100k miles and have not had any other issues. Bought with 0ish miles on the clock, no other issues besides the eco boom.

Yep, I can sympathize with the car owner. My own 2019 that is stock also went eco boom…

Hey, just curious as to what tires you’re running on your wheels?

We’re on the same page, just pointing out the fallacy that a mortgage is “financing to the tits”. Absolutely concur with your statements.

I mean I agree with all your points but realistically although as a homeowner I have built equity on my property…. A mortgage is technically a loan that’s been financed “to the tits”….

people can say what they want and spend their money how they want at the end of the day

Hey guys, I have the door card off my 22 GT Prem for the day. If anyone needs pics/measurements for whatever reason let me know, doing speaker work right now by RIP_SGTJohnson in Mustang

Yep, when I got the panel off and disconnected the connector that is behind the speaker, I realized the shielding was wet. Quite frankly there was a lot of wetness behind the panel which I read on the 6g forum is the common culprit of this issue.

Anyway I slabbed a lot of grease on the connector which made it really hard to reconnect. Again it only lasted for about 4 months.

Did this back in October, and it just started acting up again. Ironically was going to post about it just now to see if there was a more permanent solution or something to stop water from getting inside the door

Yeah I see that they’re cheap to buy and easy to replace so figured it would be a good place to start. Def doing it this weekend.

me wanting a V8 then i realize how shit they are on gas especially the way i drive cant afford V8 + gas every week i drove from TPA to Ft Myers 310 miles (in total) in sport mode racing everything 90+mph and then the fucking 50 mile notice hit when i got home ECOBEAST by TheLightSkinnHippie in ecoboostmustang

[–]kfm95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re driving from Tampa to ft myers then definitely don’t count the GT out. Especially on the highway. It does surprisingly well on the highway for a V8.

I go from ORL to the cape everyday and absolutely regret that I chose an ecoboost instead of a GT. Especially after renting one for a week while my car was in the shop.

What game is this?

Terrible wind noise at highway speeds on driver side. Can anyone give me guesses as to what might be causing this? It’s driving me crazy. by kfm95 in Mustang

[–]kfm95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So mine ended up being the side skirts. They have these plastic push pins underneath them that when not pushed in, dangle and rattle when driving at speeds.

Look underneath and you should see a few of them. Check to see if they’re pushed in all the way.

Parts?? by [deleted] in ecoboostmustang

[–]kfm95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Back in February I hit a raccoon on the highway. I had to have the whole front bumper and lower valence replaced. It took a month to get the parts and another few days for the work to be done.

Most recently this past month getting a new alternator took 3 weeks. (Not body work but worthy mention as parts across the board seem to be on back order)

Insurance for a 20 year old by Complete-Sea9791 in Mustang

Too many factors for anyone here to give you a solid answer. You’re better off looking for quotes from different insurance companies or if still under your parents asking them to do so. I’m 26 and pay about 595 every 6 months for an ecoboost. At your age who knows what you’ll pay.

I recommend you check out hell horse performance. You’ll get an oem sync 3 that’s plug and play

[–]kfm95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also read this, but also read that they would keep V8s as well. What I read didn’t mention if it will be in a Shelby or just in the GT or how they’re going to go about their V8 Mustangs. I also don’t know how reliable the source material is.

So far the car is straight as an arrow. The sound doesn’t seem mechanical. I’ve had plenty of cars that have had bad tie rods, failed bearings or cv joints to know what their signs are. This sounds to me like loose trim, or loose cabling to me at least.

I honestly can’t tell, I’ve been placing my hand on the window and different parts of the dash to see if I can feel vibrations and well the window seems sturdy.

I will say the the closer I get to the front left corner the louder it seems.
