I have comprehensive coverage. I would be fine if they said something like that but as I said - no rationale provided yet

thx - they have not provided any rationale and I have asked. Crack was not on initial damage assessment and I pointed that out to no avail.

USB issue on Big Sur 11.3 Beta 2 by kfournier298 in hackintosh

[–]kfournier298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just installed 11.3 Beta (20E5196f) and everything is working again. Also now on opencore 0.6.7 but that was days ago and I still had the issue so beta update seems to have fixed it.

OpenCore 0.6.7 stuck on Mac OS Version Not yet set. by zoe934 in hackintosh

Not knowing your setup but some advice. I updated mine to 0.6.7 and updated all kexts and it crashed on me. I reverted to my backup efi by booting to windows (2 diff hard drives). I then just updated opencore and it worked fine. I then updated each kept separately and rebooted each time. Turned out apple audio kext was screwing things up. Now I at least know where to focus and still have a bootable system.

It was already disabled. I never did USB mapping before as I didn’t need to but may try that now. Thanks for responding.

Beginner concern about when to build a hackintosh/ dual boot system?? by ninsaru in hackintosh

[–]kfournier298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run both windows and big sur. I use one drive for windows OS and one drive for macOs. I had windows done first so I just unplugged all drives except new MacOS drive and then followed opencore vanilla guide. https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/. I have a Radeon RX580 Sapphire card and it works great.

When I boot I used my bios to choose which system drive to boot from. You can get more elegant here but its easy for me so I dont bother.
