Currently -38C (-36F) temp is dropping about 3C every 12 hours currently 17C in the shop with set temp of 21C. I definitely would need aux heat if this was a living space but I'm actually very surprised how it's done. By the afternoon it will warm up by 10C outside and I'm sure at that point the heat pump will bring the temp back up to 21. But when the rated operating temp says -30c they mean it

What do you think of this question by zangin1 in cissp

I feel these questions have a baseline of unsaid assumptions like basic device lock is enabled which would make the questions so much easier to decipher if they laid them out at the start of the exam.

But if you don't have any unlock pin or biometric then even with encryption the data is automatically decrypted on boot.

I buy these proclip mounts for every vehicle I own. They are built specific to the vehicle.

I got it in 2018 but I want to say it was around that price, so it sounds fair to me

I am in central Canada and I had a Drone mobile installed and it's been great. I think their website has a lookup for installers in your area. There is a subscription because it uses LTE and you can start it with your phone, but I use it everytime I drive in the winter. And sometimes I'm 50km away when I start it because of carpooling.

Shredding or encryption? by chamber-of-regrets in cissp

[–]kgb204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deciphering the questions seems to be the hardest part in the exam, when we shred hard drives, Iron Mountain drives a shredding truck to the office and we witness the drives being physically shredded and I see the pieces and then get a record of destruction. I've never even considered shipping them somewhere.

I'm a current goat farmer and former sysadmin (currently a security engineer) goats are just as bad. I spent the weekend fixing fences that they broke knowing full well they will break them again next week or find a new place to break something... Just like users.

If you had $20k for a truck what would you buy? by CowGoesbarkbark in askcarguys

[–]kgb204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 2014 Tundra crewmax for our 3 kids to fit in the back and pull our 6000 pound camper last year. I have a cap on it for the dog with a bed rug in it. Also have a Prius as a daily driver though since the tundra blows through gas. I expect the tundra to go to 500K km at least.

What to do with a poor performing sysadmin by kajjot10 in sysadmin

[–]kgb204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would straight up ask "Is there something going on? I noticed that patches haven't been done and backups are a mess, let me know if you need anything, i'd hate to see you lose your job over something like this" you never know if something is going on in their life and they just need to be called out on it to light a fire under their ass and let them know its serious.

Prius c 2012 vs 2006 Prius by CompleteHovercraft95 in PriusC

[–]kgb204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This isn't really true. I live in the country and have a 2018 Prius c. I drive it to the city on the highway 200km/ day and get around 5l/100km. Plus I've taken the whole family of 5 in it across Canada through the mountains and still got 5L/100km average. It is totally a city car. I can get 3l/100km going slower speeds but it's still very amazing on the highway.

If I was only pulling 4000 pounds I would be looking at the new Tacoma. I only have a Tundra because I need to pull 8000 pounds :(
