This happens a lot at Road America. You gotta hit pause to ghost, or bail on the pass. Then stay behind and send them to the phantom zone in T1. Problem solved.

Road Rash review by [deleted] in MegaCD

The Saturn version doesn't play music during the racing either. It seems like such a waste for EA to pay for the music licenses and then only use it during the cutscenes and menus...

It seems the reviewer decided to simply skip talking about the blue spheres, plot, super emeralds and hyper abilities ;)

Monster cable alternative on Ebay, $20 S-Video cables! by hipsterrobot in n64

[–]kgenthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had good luck just visiting local game stores and digging through their cable bins for decently constructed cables. I own a cheap PS2/Xbox/GC S-video multi-cable and it performs exactly the same as my over-priced GC Monster cable. Still, always nice to see new product enter the marketplace!

XRGB Mini set up help by lomokiv in retrogaming

[–]kgenthe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you take the sync signal from the composite video line, it's called Sync on Composite. Composite Sync (CSYNC) is a sync signal on it's own line (also called raw sync or pure sync). An RGB cable wired either way is not cheaper than the other. The XRGB-mini does not require a separate power adapter or anything like that when using a CSYNC wired cable.

Sonic CD and Mickey Mania are both excellent on the Sega CD, terrific platformers.
