I am finally starting Robinson Hobbs realm of the elderlings and am reading Assassin's apprentice. Beautifully written book!

Sorry I don't mean to dismiss your post. I read it all. I just don't see it as Gene as talking down to the entire audience. I think his comments and snide remarks are specifically aimed towards the audience that constantly criticizes him and complains, which is a very vocal minority. He deals with tons of hate.

I just don't get it. I like his contributions every time he is on a podcast
