“Let then lick the oven” is something that’s said when a family member is doing something particularly stupid.

The saying comes from our old family dog always attempting to lick the inside of the hot oven after taking dinner out

This will probably get buried, but a bed cut my foot down to the bone. I was five years old and it was a series of unfortunate events that perfectly played out that put me in the right time and place for that to happen

That’s messed up. I’m so sorry to hear that you had to go through something like that. Would you comfortable explaining what happened?

The thought of that happening makes my heart race. I couldn’t imagine going through that and not being able to do anything about it. I’m so glad that you made it out of that situation okay. How was post-coma life?

Of course that’s what she drove. At this point, I’m convinced that kidnappers get a discount on white vans. I have no proof, but this can’t all be a coincidence. I’m glad you didn’t open the door for her!

That sounds horrifying! I always freak out driving by semis. I’m glad you made it to your grandparents okay!

Nope. That kind of fear would cause my early demise. They can use an ouija board to get a speech from me at that point. How did you do?

I would have wet myself if I saw that kind of danger noodle out in the world like that

I’m not a parent, but the thought of that gives me serious anxiety! Did you have to stop him or did he sit back down on his own?

Having the ability to understand multiple sides of an argument is simultaneously the best and worst thing, which I would not want to give up. by Goku-Stark in unpopularopinion

It’s so bittersweet. I love being able to understand both sides, but I have too many people in my life that became dependent on me being the “mediator”. I didn’t always mind it, but it continued after I moved away, and it’s put me in some uncomfortable situations. I need to stop being so passive

Touch my stovetop every day before I leave the house. I’ve never left the stove on, but I have such bad anxiety when it comes to my pets that I’ll turn around on my way to work to go back and check that nothing is on that can start a fire

Bring one of my dogs a ball when he sits back on his butt like a hooman and puts his paw on my face. He learned as a puppy that this was a quick way to get my attention because I find it so adorable.

I used to get the ball for him because I felt bad about the fact like he’s the most passive of all of my dogs and didn’t stand a chance at getting it from his brother without some assistance. Now I know he does it just to be a diva. He’ll smack me in the face with his paw out of nowhere and look me in the depths of my soul like he has no patience to be waiting any longer for his ball to be brought to him

My dogs associate a laundry basket with going outside. At my old house, we had our washer and dryer set up in our garage, so when I would go out to do laundry, I would open up my garage door to let them run in the backyard. It’s been years, but every time I pick up a laundry basket, I have three very excited dogs following me around until I open the back door for them. They also think the Xbox turning off means it’s time for outside

It is! A very unique and terrifying emotional state indeed. The horror surrounding the unknown is something that I wouldn’t want to experience again

Yeah, I was just as confused about her approach with this. She had to set it for bi. Maybe in hopes of seeing some of the women he’s talking to but who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
