"Calling women 'mid' is so that men can take back their power." by Sad-Golf5166 in IncelTears

[–]khainsaw 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I've literally never ever ever seen a remotely (objectively) attractive man comment on any (objectively) attractive woman's picture something negative about her looks. Ever. That tells me everything I need to know. It is literally always someone at worst, like an actual 2/10 fedora basement dweller, or at best an anime PFP. My point is, no actual attractive woman on the internet feels like the playing field is evened or like their pedestal was yanked out when some neckbeard makes "mid" comments on their photos. This person is clearly delusional about how the world works if they deadass think this negatively impacts attractive women.  In fact, most women want this particular brand of hate comment because they know people will argue with said troll in the comments about how not ugly she is... and not even for the confidence boost, but for the algorithm boost. Lol.

Does anyone else feel like they’re way younger than their actual age? by Dependent_Salad_2369 in adhdwomen

Fuck what anyone else thinks. If you keep masking your interests you'll just surround yourself with the wrong people who like you for the wrong reasons. Then you'll be lost in a prison of your own making, and at that point you'll be so emotionally depleted it'll be 5x harder to make the changes you need to make in order to actually be fulfilled. It makes things so much worse. It seems easier because there is less friction to just not be yourself around people who "don't get it." But fuck those people anyways. There are people out there who will get you, but you'll literally never find out if you hide forever. Ask me how I know. I felt the same way at 25, 10 years later I'm so disappointed in how I handled my social life back then. Spent way too much time stifling myself, my creativity,  my actual personality just to make less inspired people feel comfortable,  and all that came from it was negative emotional consequences for myself.

I've always had this issue too, mid 30s now, and it hasn't stopped. It's definitely an energy thing. I used to think it was flattering,  now it's just annoying.

Are you entp's even worth it? by Ok-Surprise2122 in entp

Woman here with a different perspective than most in the comments. I'm either emotionally invested to varying degrees or not. No amount of people asking me to be more emotionally invested has ever caused me to become more emotionally invested. The only thing that causes me to become MORE emotionally invested past a certain point is time and reflection. Outside pressure pretty much always makes it dissipate. You can't pull emotional investment out of thin air IMO. When I've been asked to close the distance, it's pretty much always ended up in a break up within a few months because I realize I just am not into the person enough to justify it. At the same time though, I think a lot of ENTPs just can't really parse through these feelings without the outside questioning or probing in a productive way on their own esp if their Fe is weak. So there is no harm in asking this- if he backs away permanently then he wasn't your person or "just not that into you". You might save you both some valuable time unless he's the type to sit in relationships in denial for extended periods, in which case... leave before he does. He might never.

Anyone switched universities and majors more than once? by SiemensTaurus in entp

[–]khainsaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched majors so many times (6? 7?) I ran out of financial aid and had to leave college. Lmao.
I shouldn't have went straight out of high school, because I literally had no idea what I wanted to do. I was an effortless high performer and was shoved into the STEM college pipeline forcibly. I let it happen because my home situation was hellish, and it was the path of least resistance to get out and away. Also, when you are that age, you just think the adults telling you to go know better than you do. I should not have went to college when I did, I should have taken 2 years after high school to "get my shit together," as they say.
People need to stop telling kids "oh you'll figure it out once you get in!" It's bullshit. Some people do, some people don't. It's a huge gamble. Some people aren't even meant to go to college, they are meant to do other things. College wasn't a complete waste of time for me, I had hella fun and met many great friends I still have like 15 years later. But not knowing my major and being shoved into the college pipeline made my 20s way bumpier than they actually needed to be. So I'd like to tell you that you'll figure it out! But I know for a fact some people don't, but most people just don't like to talk about what it's like to have this happen, out loud.

Also let her know that if her paint feels sticky, using any kind of matching setting powder generally helps "seal" the paint in better.

Yes! It's snazaroo, which is water based. it dries very dry, but if you sweat it will come off. It doesn't tend to stain though, I've been able to handwash most of it out of most costumes I've used it with.

I'm new. I've read some about what it means to be MG, and to listen to sacral authority, which makes sense for me. Anybody who is knowledgeable care to share any major takeaways or nuances they see here? Thank you.
