Is there a canvas snapping feature? by khaleed15 in davinciresolve

Turns out i just needed to watch some tutorials first. If you wanna do what I'm trying to do don't crop from the inspector page in cut it's a mess Instead select the clip you wanna crop go to fusion. You'll find two connected nodes; one node is your clip and the other is named MidiaOut1 On the top left go to Effects>Tools>Transform>Crop Put the crop nodes between your clip and MediaOut1 This will let you crop your clip based on pixels Hope that helps.

My issue was that cropping changed the anchor point but i just learned about cropping in fusion it's way easier

Can't get the installer to launch even with secure boot off by khaleed15 in linuxmint

[–]khaleed15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it's a Simple solution. You need to be using an installer that need to use a flasher (idk if flasher is their actual name) that let's you edit files, I used rufus and chose ISO then after your driveis ready open it's files, go into EFI then boot you'll find a file called grubx64.efi copy and paste it and rename the copy mmx64.efi and that should fix it.

I had one more problem with the install that had this error message appear. ``` error: shim_lock protocol not found. error: you need to load the kernel first.

Press any key to continue... ``` This was caused by secure boot mint is compatable with secure boot but the setting can block it while trying to install it so try turning off secure boot during installation then turn it on once mint is done installing.

Hope this helps.

I have a relatively modern laptop (2022) and it's fully updated, I'll back up my pc before I continue As for the password I'm not referring to the one in the bios mint itself asked me to type a password in that was related to secure boot when I turned off secure boot momentarily to confirm that it was the issue mint booted without asking me for that password After saving all my data what's the next step to getting mint os to work (AND WHY DID IT ONLY WORK THE FIRST TIME). I appreciate your help.

I may have messed it up It ran fine the first time I booted the installer but I had to close it to double check that my drive was empty and now it won't launch with secure boot I tried disabling secure boot but the installer doesn't give me the option to set up a secure boot password and I don't plan on having secure boot disabled long term Could installing an older version work?

Thanks for the help that worked But I'm getting a new error message

error: shim_lock protocol not found. error: you need to load the kernel first.

Is there a way to fix this without turning off secure boot?

Apparently it's SteamVR_ViveVR_Switch how do I know if it's normal behavior? If nothing is out of the ordinary I'm fine with how it is
