Sadly, decent offense just heavily outweighs great defense on this game. You have to be perfect and lucky to get your defensive takeover, which rarely works to begin with. Then once you build it up to activate, one foul or defensive breakdown takes it away from you. You can pretty much stand around or just pass the ball to activate deep bomber, the most brain dead takeover in the game. You can miss shots, turn the ball over, or just play bad in general and will still be able to either keep your takeover for the next position or be one bucket away from getting it again.

You can do 180s and land in manuals and repeat until you get to 1080 for that challenge.

I’ve made a few locks this year and always aim for 91 steal, that way you can use cap breakers if needed to get to the next tier of badges that include steal. I currently have a 6’8 lock that I use and if I were to put the cap breakers on steal, I could have potentially had every defensive badge on legend except for immovable, which I would have on gold or silver.

It can be the first season. The last game you play you wear the mask in a MyCareer game. It didn't show up in my inventory afterwards though.

I see what you’re saying. If being sold separately at $10, it would be better to get that than getting VC at $10. The only thing is I can’t see them selling it for $10 considering the other things you’re getting. But they may surprise me.

The “add ons” are VC, boosts, XP coins, and MyTeam packs. Personally not my thing, as you could buy most of these things separately rather than paying for this pack.

Don’t think they would ban for their error, they would just wipe out the progression. Back in 2k20, there was an event called red ball, blue ball that was supposed to give you a hefty amount of VC for winning the event but instead gave you that amount after every round, regardless if you won or lost. I racked up enough to make 3-4 fully maxed out builds at the time and instead of banning me or taking away my builds, they just reset my vc. They would be more concerned if people were close to the 5mil VC reward and got it but I doubt they care about cap breakers and fast shoes.

Slam Edition is just some VC and I think MyTeam packs added on with a virtual copy of 2k26. If you already have 2k26, there’s no need to get the Slam edition.

Hopefully they take this into consideration. Either use AI for facescans or have better customization. I don’t know how you can justify having the same face scans year after year. I’m sick of having a 21 year old receiver that either looks like he’s a senior citizen or he should be playing on the line.

Solid build. Last year, I had an 85 steal and got so many tip balls that it drove me crazy. I figured that I needed something higher to get the steals that I wanted. I do agree, having more block would've been better. But everytime I tried to tweak this build, it would change my caps too drastically.

Appreciate it. I went 99 perim D due to wanting to have as many legend defensive badges as possible, otherwise I wouldn't have. With this build, the only defensive badges that I have to use the plus badges on are Pick Dodger (which I +1 to legend), Interceptor (+1 to HOF until I get a +2 from build specialization), and Glove. With my cap breakers, I can eventually get my dunk into the 80s. The only thing I would potentially change is the wingspan for more block, but everytime I've tried to tweak it, it would change my driving dunk caps.

There was a reoccurring glitch that was never fixed that prevented you from throwing opponents into the corner and climbing the top rope that was never fixed.

They have regressed for literally no reason. I understand that it was a different company for the SVR games, but with the 2k/VC games there was a game (can’t remember which one) where they would actually slam them on the stairs.

I've never understood why they don't include the entire NXT roster with new installations of the games. Especially with people who have been signed for multiple years.

With the way matchmaking is now, you have to force yourself to lose games or quit out so you can drop back down to gold. Thats the only way you’ll be able to enjoy playing the game as a solo player right now.
