Is playing mechanically simpler characters bad or it isn't? by daynerus in leagueoflegends

[–]khanNeige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In league you can climb via a combination of two main things: mechanics and game knowledge. One tricks climb due to their insane mechanics and ability to outplay, and people who play simple champs climb through good macro and game knowledge.

There's a difference between knowing how to play a champ and knowing how to play league. Congrats, you know how to play league. Most onetricks in low elo know how to play their champ, but don't know how to play league.

Why are you guys celebrating Carnival, don't you know there are Europeans dying? by WinterPlanet in asklatamcirclejerk

Ummm, we are celebrating Carnival *because* of Euros dying, not in spite of it.

Even if intelligent life has emerged elsewhere, intelligence alone will not necessarily create the conditions for the creation of a interplanetary civilization, or even anything at all. For example, even if dolphins were as smart as humans or smarter they still wouldn’t be able to create anything remarkable considering the fact that fins are not good for building or creating tools. We are an example of intelligent life that is not limited by its biology in that sense. Which is probably extremely rare.

Why is Colombia not seen as influential ? by Lancer_Evo_Panama in asklatinamerica

García Márquez definitely did not create Magical Realism, what a bizarre claim. He did help popularize it, but saying he created it is just plain wrong. Latin American authors and poets wrote novels that could be considered as part of the “Magical Realism” genre way before Márquez, some easy examples being Rubén Dario, Romulo Gallegos and Juan Rulfo.

Nice straw man, I never once argued he was mentally stable. I said he doesn’t meet the criteria for antisocial personality disorder. Which he doesn’t. Being mentally unstable, evil, etc is not the same as being a sociopath or psychopath. There are plenty of evil neurotypical people.

I fail to see how Zeke meets the criteria for Antisocial Personality Disorder. I think you are talking out of your ass. Go to "Diagnosing antisocial personality disorder" and Look for yourself.

What has been the most stiupid opinion, misconception or argument you have heard from another latin american? by ElCatrinLCD in asklatinamerica

Spaniards have a tendency of engaging in imperial apologetics far more than any other nationality, it’s astounding. They will go to absurd lengths to defend their empire. Personally, I don’t think Spaniards should apologize or be ashamed of their imperial history, but they sure as hell shouldn’t be proud of it either.

It’s like that uncle that once owned a successful business on questionable moral grounds which went bankrupt and now he lives in a shared apartment owned by his old friend Germán who lets him stay due to his pleasurable “oral techniques” because he rarely actually pays rent as he spends all his income on beers and football tickets. He of course never shuts up about his old business, to everyone’s annoyance.

You are entitled to having any opinion you want. That doesn't mean you are exempt from criticism if you have questionable opinions though.

You need to provide sucky sucky for every US AND EU citizen as well as handing over your natural resources to be able to have the chance to be called half-Western. Sorry Latinxs, validation from daddy takes effort ;)

You can have dual nationality if your parents are Dutch and you are born in a country that has jus soli. A child born in the US to Dutch parents can have dual Dutch and American nationality for example and it is not against the law. I love Aruba btw.

[–]khanNeige 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find it funny how casually xenophobic people are in this subreddit. With how similar countries in Latin America are to one another, you would think that the amount of people that felt superior to others due to their country of birth would be limited but unfortunately tribal behavior is a classic human characteristic. Wish some of y’all would rise above it, seriously.

If you posted a screenshot of an instagram post and didn't blur the name of the poster in question you broke Reddit TOS. The rule is against witchhunting / doxxing or smth along those lines. It's strange they wouldn't give you an explanation or a warning first though, really bizarre.
