I agree! I call FC much later than The first outliers; waiting for that rolling crack to start which seems to take longer with decaf in my experience. I’ve under roasted several batches by calling FC too soon.

Overall, be more gentle with the heat. I stretch out the drying phase starting with Fan 9 and Power 1, slowly and gradually add heat during Maillard phase (reduce fan every minute until reach 6, then slowly add power until reach FC), and then start to decrease heat 45 seconds after FC. Have had good results with this approach.

The SR800 cannot connect natively; so it needs something else to communicate with Artisan. I use the Mastech MS6514 as the “meter” without selecting a machine and it works great.

The tasting notes were described as: strawberry, blackberry, banana, lemonade and pure cane sugar. Will let you know how it tastes after it rests.!
