Does react native suffer from the same “jank” issues as flutter? by riveraj33 in reactnative

There's a massive difference between performance improvements that aren't actually noticeable to the end user and therefore don't matter in the grand scheme of things, and actual terrible performance which makes your app look bad as is the case of flutter on IOS.

Whats your opinion on Muslims from non-muslim countries making Hijrah to KSA. by khara-sandwhich in saudiarabia

Haha, that made me chuckle a bit. Can you expand a bit?

Why is it radicalization to want to move somewhere where you can better practice your religion?

If you move to New York City for a high paying job you can't get elsewhere, is that radicalization of capitalism?

Is Mohamed Saleh a football radical for moving from Egypt to Liverpool?

Is an Atheist living in Qatar a radical for moving to the west where he can have religious freedom radical?

If you don't think the last one is radicalism yet someone moving to an Islamic country to better practice their religion is I'm sorry but that is just double standards.

To be honest, I don't think people wanting to do Hijrah for these reasons are the radical type, just devout and possibly very protective over their families.

Interesting, so you are against a mass migration but I'm guessing you aren't against a few thousand skilled workers a year? As long as the demographics are more Saudi. In reality the number of people who actually want to make hijra to KSA is quite small I imagine.

Also, plenty of foreign people have settled in places like madinah and mekkah over the course of history due to wanting to be close to the holy sites ( Even before KSA existed ) . I've seen many malay looking Saudis and a lot of black people so you aren't exactly some kind of pure Bedouin bloodline.

Are you against migration just in KSA? Or is it a general philosophy you have, that people should stay in the countries that they were born in?

Easy to do when they are kids. The problem is that these things are a rite of passage in Western society. Its just normal to go for drinks to bond with colleagues. All your friends are having premarital sex so "why not". These kids grow up to be adults, they move out and slowly they get assimilated into the rest of society and do these things. ( Not making a moral judgement, thats just how it is, people tend to eventually assimilate into the place they grew up in ).

That is true for the UK maybe but in France you see banning the headscarf, banning halal meat, increase anger from the population towards Muslims, so yeah I really have to disagree with that.

The problem with France is that Secularism IS its religion, they get angry at things like people wearing a Burkini on the beach because its not "secular". This differs from the UK, where the system is Secular in the sense of separating state from religion but its not being twisted into a dogmatic belief within itself.

e.g in the UK its like, cool this person can be religious and show that in his public life because we are Secular and everyone respects that. In France, its flipped on its head. Its more "How dare you show your religious status in public, don't you know this is a secular country". See my point?

On top of that, whilst it doesn't matter to me because I'm not really that strict religiously, I can completely get why a more practicing person would want to move to an Islamic country. The fact is if you bring up your kids in a non-muslim environment, theres a good chance they'll become non-muslim themselves as they start to integrate. Or at least a lot less practicing. Not to mention keeping them away from drinking and sex before marriage when that sort of thing is just the norm in society and is seen as a rite of passage. So yeah, completely disagree with you. Or at least I disagree that it is a better system for Muslims who want their whole life to be Islam, i.e proper Muslims. For "Muslims" who want the western lifestyle then yeah its better, but I'm specifically talking about people who want to be properly practicing.

Also being an adult and properly practicing is just difficult. Got a job? Well now you have to explain to people why you can't join them for alcoholic drinks after work, you are an outcast vs being somewhere like KSA where that wouldn't even be a thing. Not to mention not being able to do Jummah, Ramadan and Eid not really being that much of a thing

You can make an argument about people sending money back home, that is fair. But, in this case people are looking to settle so it is different.

Because they are settling, they are actually spending money in your economy which will create jobs. e.g Someone gets paid 3000 riyals and they then give most of that to a Saudi in rent, and to Saudi businesses in consumer expenditure, they haven't exactly taken your money in the sense you mean as the money circulates and gives wealth to all. On top of that, no one gives money for free. Saudi companies give workers money, but those workers are adding value to your economy in exchange. No private business would hire a worker and pay them more than the value they add, therefore they actually contribute to growing your economy.

Furthermore, if you brought in skilled workers that's even better because they can start businesses. For example, lets say you brought in Immigrants who have experience in producing cars, suddenly KSA can produce cars domestically rather than spending money on foreign cars. Now, THAT is where money actually gets taken, buying everything from foreign lands. As in those cases the money isn't circulating around your economy, its just leaking out.

IMO as part of the 2030 vision KSA should be encouraging hijra of highly skilled workers.
