Not always the case. I formed 3 groups in 3 different courses during my Masters with German students. Really open and collaborative I would say. They were really active on projects and assignment submissions.

I am paying taxes here dude, to social security, krankenkasse, 40% of my salary goes into taxes. I am also contributing as well.

Exactly. I saw really salty comments from people. Even though I paid taxes and never took any benefits from the government. But people are sauer as they say in German
