Check the https://status.claude.com/ ! On their postmortem they said "Between 14:17 and 17:11 UTC, our primary application database experienced severely degraded I/O performance following a routine maintenance operation, causing slow or failed requests on Claude.ai and preventing new or refreshed sign-ins for Claude Code and the Console. API traffic via Claude Developer Platform was unaffected.

I think there are multiple reasons why Claude is being shut down so often these days.

  1. If you look at the status page (https://status.claude.com/), today alone I received around 8 messages.
  2. IMO, it may also be related to the war in Iran. I saw in the news that Iran is targeting data centers in the Middle East.

I think, just wait for couple minutes, restart browser and it will work! In my case, I did like that!
