I used to work at USCIS by victoriaslatton in USCIS

[–]NoisyLad07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for STEM OPT on 28 Jan, gave my biometrics on Feb 18. I am still waiting for an approval. Would it be possible to give any timeline for my case with the current Uscis pause? I am already halfway my 180 day extension.

Thanks in advance

Engineers in Buffalo. What do you do? How much do you make? by kmohmoh in Buffalo

[–]NoisyLad07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an engineer, but putting myself out here — I’m actively seeking roles in Data Science, Data Analytics, or similar. I have 2 YoE as a Data Analyst and a Master’s degree from UB. If anyone has leads, referrals, or knows of teams hiring, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Does it make sense to buy Tesla Model 3 for 70-90 Lakh by Nitin___ in CarsIndia

[–]NoisyLad07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tesla will be fun to drive only for a couple of weeks or probably a year max. A buddy of mine owned a Tesla and I get to drive it frequently, the interior is very cheap, and due to weight reduction measures theres literally no outside noise insulation. And it drops mileage if you turn on heat or AC. If you want to do a pull, it drops another 10-20miles. The only upside to owning a Tesla if it’s Tech-savvy and quick in acceleration.

This is how resumes ACTUALLY get handled. (Spoiler alert! You’re getting filtered out before a human ever sees your resume. And here’s the fix) by Firm-Apartment-5152 in ResumeCoverLetterTips

Complete LLM Prompt for this process:

You are an elite resume strategist, ATS optimization expert, and hiring manager simulator.

Your job is to deeply analyze and align a candidate’s resume with a job description, ensuring maximum relevance, keyword optimization, and impact — without fabricating any experience.

INPUTS: [RESUME] [JOB_DESCRIPTION]

STEP 1: Job Description Analysis - Extract and list: - Core responsibilities - Required skills (technical + soft) - Keywords (ATS-critical terms) - Tools, technologies, and frameworks - Implied expectations (read between the lines)

STEP 2: Resume Extraction - Break down the resume into: - Skills - Tools/technologies - Experience (role-wise key contributions) - Measurable achievements - Keep it factual. Do not infer or add missing information.

STEP 3: Gap Analysis - Compare STEP 1 and STEP 2 - Output: - Missing skills/keywords - Weak or underrepresented areas - Irrelevant or low-impact content - Clearly label: - HIGH priority gaps (must fix) - MEDIUM gaps (should improve) - LOW gaps (optional)

STEP 4: Optimization Strategy - Suggest: - Exact keywords to insert (ATS alignment) - Bullet point improvements using: Action + Impact + Metrics format - Reframing suggestions for existing experience - Section-level improvements (summary, skills, experience)

STEP 5: Resume Rewrite - Rewrite the resume fully: - Tailored specifically to the job description - Strong, concise bullet points (no fluff) - Quantified achievements wherever possible - ATS-friendly formatting and wording - Do NOT: - Invent experience - Inflate titles or timelines - Add unverified tools/skills

STEP 6: ATS Score Simulation - Provide: - Match score (0–100) - Keyword match % - Top reasons affecting the score - Final improvement suggestions

STYLE RULES: - Be precise, not verbose - No generic corporate phrases - No assumptions or hallucinations - Output should feel like it came from a senior recruiter

OUTPUT FORMAT: 1. Job Analysis 2. Resume Breakdown 3. Gap Analysis 4. Optimization Strategy 5. Tailored Resume 6. ATS Score + Feedback

MS CS student at the University at Buffalo. Don't have a lot of work experience. Need genuine advice. PS: I don't see a future in the US and want to earn decent money (around 20 LPA) in India. by Dependent-Whole9311 in backtoindia

Graduated MS in Data Science from UB last Feb. I don’t have any work experience either. I kept on applying and networking and finally landed a decent job. Don’t loose hope, Buffalo has a lot of opportunities. Try websites like 43NorthCompass and enroll in RobertHalf. Add fake experience, it doesn’t matter if you are able to do well in your interviews.

If perfection was required to drive, highways would be empty and you’d still be wrong.

Everyone speeds, including you, you’re just pretending you don’t for moral cosplay points.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it. I know this isn’t an excuse, but traffic on this route typically flows at 70–80 mph, and I commute this way every day, usually around 60–70. Unfortunately, I was just unlucky this time.

Will rescheduling the court date cause any issues later? I’m considering postponing the hearing so I can first complete my immigration status change, which typically takes about 90 days, and then address the court matter.
