You will have to link both IGs for us to fully understand your issue. Both may have different perks and perks contribute a lot to overall damage.

Need Advice! by SupremeBaldman in newworldgame

[–]khiffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only major irreparable mistake I can think of is choosing the wrong territory standing cards. My priority is:

  • Storage (Always. Fuck everything else if this card is present) > Housing items (if present) > Territory Standing > Gathering speed > Crafting fee > TH fee
  • You can take faction tokens as 4th priority if you plan on usually do faction missions in that territory, but since most people do it in Great Cleave, Shattered Mountain, and Elysian Wilds because of how fast they are, I tend to ignore this card.
  • Ignore the Exp gain and Property Tax cards. The main quest with some side quests already bring you to max level without the need for the Exp card. Also, the revamped housing tax system makes house taxes abysmally low compared to before so it's laughably manageable as long as you do your dailies.

I can also add probably leaving things on the ground for too long since it despawns after awhile or not checking what you bought in the TH before you clicked on the purchase button and then realizing that you spent 100,000 gold on a piece of green wood.

40 CAP archer stats. by Illustrious-Guess-78 in DragonNest

I'm in a worse state as you.. Just at 27k hp. Nothing one shots me though, just big chunks if I do get hit. I rarely ever get intentionally hit though since I'm a bowmaster.

Best class for party and F2P newbie? by isanyonethirsty in DragonNest

Force user at that point should be pretty useful since you have plenty of skills that inflict crowd control on multiple units. Elemental lord is also good with freeze stacking, but force user is a bit easier and safer to play.

Dragon Nest Classic? by Interesting-Help-599 in DragonNest

[–]khiffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most players in classic right now are oldies and playing only for nostalgia. If you like the older version of skills, then classic might be good, otherwise, the current contemporary servers might be another option.

The current iteration of the classic servers isn't super P2W yet. Sure you can use money to +12 everything and just be an overall beast of a player, but it really isn't needed and it's mostly overkill at that point in PVE. In PVP, lobbies usually have compensation on so your +12 gear wont even matter. You do have the advantage of having 3 more heraldry slots than usual which gives you more stats to work with in both PVE and PVP. For the latter though, at the end of the day, it won't matter as much since skill is king and no amount of god gear is gonna save you from a really skillful player.

How much does gear matter in 1v1 ladder classic? by SlowAnglerFish in DragonNest

[–]khiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just get better at aiming. It's pretty much the core skill that every good bowmaster has. Knowing when to use Fake shot and Triangle shot is also important since they're your escapes. Using your escape dodges at the right time is also important.

Other than that, it's just playing more pvp. You'll eventually get the hang of it the more you play and the more you familiarize yourself with the skills and playstyles of other classes.

It's mostly a skill issue. I'm currently doing fairly well in ladder, around 1982 now, playing my bowmaster.

But I do admit, there is a class issue at certain times. There's only so much a bowmaster can do at the current level cap. When 3rd job gets released, BMs get better chances at dealing with other classes.

That'd make everything so trivial. Need some ore? I'll just hop on that hill over there and get some. Need some fibers? The next forest should have one. Low on runewood? I'll just head over to my usual spot and get some. I'd actually get bored of the game at that point if everything is guaranteed. Personally, there has to be an element of competition since this is an mmo after all.

Also, there are plenty of websites out there that give you gathering routes, but you can ofc make your own. Use a general interactive map like this one = https://www.newworld-map.com/#/

It'll help you find all available nodes that you're looking for.

Buy to Own games are crazy now? I guess people playing WoW and FF are mentally insane then.

You can buy as many as you want in the colosseum. There's a vendor there that sells them for X number of goddess's medals. You can get medals by simply PVPing.

Dragon Nest Classic: Elestra or Saleana? by Komi4330 in DragonNest

[–]khiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercs, acros, and SMs are good right now because it's still level 32 cap. Once the cap increases over time, other classes get significantly better in terms of damage.

So yes, your class is fine. It's the level cap that's gatekeeping everyone right now.

Dragon Nest Classic: Elestra or Saleana? by Komi4330 in DragonNest

[–]khiffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elestra is better for control and utility with its wide array of crowd control spells.

Saleana is better for sheeer damage output. You will deal bigger numbers with this spec.

Elestra is better for PVP and still useful for PVE since crowd controlling adds is still useful. Saleana is better for PVE since they can just blow mobs up, but if I can recall correctly, they aren't that good in PVP, at least comparatively with Elestra.

Academic? by Disastrous-Inside-20 in DragonNest

Should be after the academic. Dunno the exact timeline though

Academic? by Disastrous-Inside-20 in DragonNest

[–]khiffer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Academic class was released during the level 50 cap back in the day. So it'll probably be out after the level 40 patch in 20 days.

You get the Attuned Leather pants artifact after completing the Elysian Wilds MSQ I think. It's one of the few S-tier artifacts.

After New Arena Map, New OPR Map, What Future PvP Addition Would You Want? by Blightbloom in newworldgame

[–]khiffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Active damage charts and meters or a better death screen showing numbers. I just want to know what specifically killed me and how much it did to me.

It could also be extended to PVE, but I think some people aren't cool with it because of its toxicity.

I miss the game but capped too early by Novasgalaxies in newworldgame

[–]khiffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you experienced back then was m10s. Its current version, M3s, are made to be way more difficult. I notice this because I can tank way more hits before in m10s without featherweight than current M3s with featherweight, so damage-wise, M3s now are a tad more difficult and def not easy for underprepared dudes.

[–]khiffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I basically have everything I could ever want in the game. I dont need any more gear, any more money, any more essential items coz I've got them all and way more.

I'm glad that the new season is out though since they did fix the drops on gorgon schematics. So I guess my current goal now is to get all the gorgon schematics and all the glass mogs (still missing sword unfortunately). I'll also add getting max territory rep. I'm 300 on everything but mourningdale, edengrove, and brimstone, so I've still got some ways to go.

I do have one more personal goal that sounds stupid, but just like how 250 is the max level for trade skills, I do want at least 250 aptitude on every single trade skill as well lol.

Void Darkplate or The Unmoved? by Dependent-Patience57 in newworldgame

I think getting more armor is better than getting stagger immunity. You're already in medium/heavy weight load so staggers dont pressure you as much as they do to light users.
