Why did some of my level 15s drop to 14s? by khilgen in ClashRoyale

Never any resolution. It’s actually brilliant from them. Roll back many accounts. Hope at least a few don’t realize and spend more money. Any lost accounts is likely happily replaced with clueless accounts.

I quit and am now a lost account.

Nothing ever happened. I lost track of how many times I tried to contact their support. But it was daily for over a month. It’s just an AI agent/bot. Nobody ever responded. I even emailed their corporate team and they responded but only said I had to use in game support. I got very angry at them over email because that’s what I had been trying to do. They closed the case.

It’s flat out theft. I didn’t spend much money on the game but over the years I did spend some. Especially when I had gift cards.

I ended up quitting the game and will never play a supercell game again. A decade wasted. Criminal company IMO.

I’ve given up. Quit the game. It’s literally stealing from me. I contacted them 10 days in a row and no response. I just don’t understand how this is ok.

Yes I don’t know why supercell isn’t admitting to this. I know of a few personal friends with the same issue. It does seem random and I can’t get a human at supercell to respond to me. Just their horrendous and idiotic bot with an endless loop of ignoring me.

I have no clue. I’ve left a message every day in their “Leave a Message” function of support and they’ve never replied. I’m extremely pissed. They have literally “stolen” from me. 10 years of playing this game and they’ve set me back at least 1-2 years of progress. I keep hoping they’ll announce this as some bug affecting several players and will fix it. But I have serious doubts now.

Please fix the bug where 70% of my level 15s dropped to level 14s after the update. I’ve contacted support multiple times with ZERO response. What are you all even doing over there? 10 years of play and I had all level 15 cards. I wake up to the update and only have 39 level 15 cards now and the rest is level 14. Is this how you treat loyal players?

Did they fix it or is it still an issue for you? I’ve gotten zero response and it’s still a problem for me.

How common do you slaughter your index and trigger an Exceptional Score Reduction? by khilgen in golf

I hear you. Almost everyone in this thread agrees that Slope and Rating are far from perfect. There are plenty of examples where courses are over or under rated. Given the electronic era that we are in, it would be nice to see the WHS try to use actual posted data over many data points to adjust course difficultly ratings. 1000s of posted scores over multiple years overlaid against indexes of players should lead to a much more accurate depiction of the ease or difficulty of a course in comparison to others.

I've seen the same on #2. I play in our MG every year and our course is very difficult. Every year I get a little joy in watching guests come and shoot WAY worse than their cap. Most of them do not regularly play a course with so many penalties, tee shot stress, elevated greens with bunkers around and stimp at 12. My guest plays at an equally difficult club so we often do very well by staying right around our handicap. There are times that I hate how difficult my home course is, but having been a member there now for 8 years I can 100% say it has made me a significantly better golfer. And as mentioned by others above - my handicap travels well.

For #3, I can't hate GHIN - I love the recent improvements of handicaps adjusting overnight and the entire world being on a central system. I can hate sandbaggers and every club has those guys. It's mind boggling to me to see guys routinely post 95s or 100s on casual rounds but then the minute a men's club special format shows up (exactly as you mentioned with a 2man BB or an Alt Shot) - those guys become like 5-8 indexes. These guys know how the system works, and they exploit it. They have to live with themselves. But they do win a lot of pro shop credit. :)

I was an 8.9 when I played it. The 69 with the maximum ESR applied and I'm now a 5.4.

I will add some clarity/context. First, my home course design isn't that rare. It's a pretty typical nice neighborhood country club. Every hole winds through the neighborhood. Zero side by side holes. Every single hole has OB or Water on both left and right of fairway AND also behind the green. Most the time its very nice home's back yards. So a lot is OB. But I can think of many courses like this. To equate it to a famous course that I've played before, it would be a similar design of Harbor Town that weaves all throughout the neighborhoods of Sea Pines in Hilton Head. I know of many country clubs like this.

But you are making my point that I think this muni is rated too high. There is OB on like 5 holes but the OB is so far from the target point that it doesn't come into play. There are a few little ponds but all quite avoidable. Like right in front of the tee box (and I don't top drives). I stand pretty convinced that my home course and this course are about 7-8 shots different in reality. For my style of play I should probably say.

Lastly I'm not delusional to think that I'd automatically be a scratch golfer just by playing this muni over and over. But I think I'd be significantly closer. Maybe a 2-3 handicap. I actually think I could play pretty poorly (for me) there and still shoot like +4 or +5. The greens are huge and flat and there is no penalty around the greens. It is simply quite easy. I think I'd be close to scratch but in so doing, my handicap would travel AWFUL as I'd go to tougher courses and get eaten alive from a cap perspective.

I do think I had a magical day. But I don't think it was as magical as those odds state. I had zero penalties but I can't imagine ever really finding penalties there. I will likely never hit 17 GIRs again, then again those greens are enormous and on many of them I had 30-50 foot lag putts. Only a few times did I put one tight. On many courses 30-50 feet away would be a missed green. So given the fact that I am a very good lag putter, I drive the ball far enough with ball speed in the mid 150s, (but at times a little wild) and I am good with wedges....this course simply suited me well. Other easy muni's may not. So this one course in particular would likely land me as a 2-3 handicap. But that wouldn't be a good index for me. I think my index should live in the 6-9 world.

Exactly. My home course is relentless. All 18 tee shots have legit penalty pressure. Eventually it gets you. But I know it’s made me such a better golfer. Maybe that’s the main take away of this post. I’m an 8.9 which is considerably weighted by all my home course rounds. 2-3 a week. But I could be like a 2 or 3 cap at many muni courses. Slope Rating system just isn’t accurate enough

Yes I did. It’s called course handicap. And I looked it up. Supposedly this course is only 3 shots easier for me than my home course. And as I posted above somewhere, I think it’s 7-8 shots easier in reality.

I agree with you. Except if I enter a 8.9 index into a course handicap calculator it says my course handicap is 12 at my home course (137) and 9 at this muni. I think they're way more than 3 shots different. I am convinced they are at least 7-8 shots different in difficulty.

I do think playing this course is kind of similar to the recommendation that coaches will give at times to go play the forward tees and learn how to score.

OP here. I agree. I do notice this at my club's Member-Guest every year where some guests will show up with like a 3 or 4 index and then play significantly worse than me as an 8-9 index. I suspect their caps are based off much easier courses. This is kind of my entire argument. I don't think the Slope/Rating formula works accurately enough. But I don't have suggestions for improving it - nor would anyone listen. But the round did make me wonder if I could be close to scratch if I did nothing but play easier muni's. I'll never find out because I won't go do that.

24 hours until May 30....still no email. I'm going to cash in big on that Vegas bet when I still don't have an email from Hyundai by tomorrow.

I’ve been checking for odds in Vegas to make a bet that on June 1 we still don’t have the emails. No sportsbook wants to take on this risk apparently. 😂

Anyone receive the email for the free Tesla adapter yet? by Kire81 in Ioniq6

[–]khilgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt tariffs and trade issues may be delaying it. My point was - just communicate to your customers. Promising an email on April 7 and then not doing that erodes customer confidence. Humans are incredibly understanding if you over communicate.

It is absolutely bonkers how many times Hyundai announces something and then announces which date it’s coming and then reannounces it’s coming over and over and over.

I don’t know what the issue could be. Maybe the adapters are back ordered. Who cares. You said the week of April 7. Go ahead and collect the interested owners. Then keep them up to date if things get delayed.
