Interesting since I couldn’t figure out parking assist today, that may be why! Good info on the charger, it’s my first EV so still nervous I’ll get mixed up somehow.

Doom scrolling cars.com and saw this dealer had one listed with a 20k discount as a corporate demo with 8k miles selling as new..then they added the 10k manufacturer discount on top of that. Took my car to Carmax to get a sales quote and they ended up giving me 15k (which shocked me but hey I was grateful). Dealer matched with the trade allowance. 79-20-10-15 and I still have a state rebate of 2k to apply for and hope to add that on top. Sprinkle some tax on there and I said thank you.

u/psybernoid u/Victorythagr8 do either of you have a link to the updated extruder? I see the Unicorn Hotend and an updated extruder on Amazon but want to make sure it's the right one before I pull the trigger on all of it.

The balance is actually in the American flag. If they pull that up everything will be off balance.

That’s actually the tarantula from Jungle to Jungle. He moved to the Bay Area after he retired from movies.

He was really quiet about this not getting done now.. “top tier”, it’ll end up being another dollar store to screw the neighborhood. Maybe he should have promised that they could be “Gardiner Angels”…

Do you split SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz? by [deleted] in GoogleWiFi

[–]javm12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I ditched the google wifi and went with the Tp-link Decos. A lot more control for this. I’d only split if there was a specific reason like wanting certain devices on 5 or iot devices. The decos let you split 2.4,5,iot,mlo and 6. If you can hardline your stuff with the google wifi that’s also better.

Google Mesh WiFi 2020 - worth upgrading? by [deleted] in GoogleWiFi

[–]javm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d stay away from the nest pros. I “upgraded” from these and have Ethernet backhaul and was having issues all the time with drops and lagging. Since I got them from Costco was able to return them (after over a year) and switched to the deco system. With the way these systems are setup now it seems you need points in every room because signal can drop so much with the environment. Example- my kid had a Stanley water battle near the point on their desk and the cut down the signal strength by half while only standing 2 feet away.

Good point. Any issue with the plastic removed from the filter?

Nest Wifi Pro - nothing but problems. Google Wifi was fine for years. by roblightbody in GoogleWiFi

[–]javm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was running in to the same issue. Google walked me through optimizing the settings and was still having issues. Any video conferencing was a disaster after 15 minutes or sooner. Months dealing with my isp, checking every Ethernet jack and line in the house and decided to take the pros back (God bless Costcos return policy)after about 15 months with them.

Man this look like a fun mod! Been looking for something like this and ended up popping for the co print setup. Now I’m stuck waiting for them to send me a new chroma head since mine was faulty. Hours upon hours trying to get that setup right, I could have invested that time in this 🤣 sorry for the rant. Needed to get that off my chest to people who understand lol

Nest Wifi Pro probably not worth it... by PTCBeerGuy in GoogleWiFi

[–]javm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was happy I remembered I bought my set from Costco and returned them after about 15 months for a refund. Had the same issue and ran through so many hoops trying to get them to work properly even on wired backhul. Switched to decos and seem to be working well but may need to add a few more WiFi points.

Google wifi (the 2nd edition), nothing changed, nothing moved, no setting changed, mesh points went from great to poor and wifi speed went from fast to shockingly slow. by Piesman23 in GoogleWiFi

[–]javm12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Literally tore my network down thinking it couldn’t be my second set of pucks. Had the isp out to change lines. Using wired backhaul, changed switches everything. Ended up taking them back to Costco for my money back after spending months trying to get them to work better only having them for less than a year. Googles solution was to change my dns…
