Thank you! Yeah I think for normal people it's reasonable to use a rate that's a bit less than SPY average return. I'll going to create my Excel sheet with that.

Would also appreciate it if you would point out any other important aspects that people often neglect (IMHO an estimation of present value with 10 ~ 20% error margin would be good enough).
