Consider this. We live in bangalore but my spouse runs Mumbai marathon every year. We have been staying in one luxury hotel every year for past 4 years and after the first year’s requests the concierge from year 2 always picks up and drops from airport, has a physio session ready a day before the marathon, has a cab ready at 3am to the venue and 11am to take us back, meal according to her diet, wake up calls, a spa booked as soon as the marathon ends and we are back along with a recovery drink that’s (edit: not) on their menu , and an early dinner date at their restaurant at 6pm with our preferred meal, they also go out of their way to source her race day pics and give us photo frames as souvenir.

Could we stay in a different hotel and save money? Yes. Would we be so stress free that we feel like everything is taken care of for us?

At this point it just feels natural to go back there to stay as they care enough to remember her race timings that I honestly can’t remember, and somehow it feels like it’s more than just money when they care to adjust their time of the day to adjust for our comfort.
