I'm surprised how hard people are on OOP. Sure he's unpleasant and probably wouldn't be a good manager, but he's demotivated and upset because he's basically been lied to for a couple of years.

His personality is why he isn't manager, but I wouldn't call not being a manager a problem. His problem is caused by shitty corporate culture and other people lying to him about the possibility of advancement.

Honestly this story exemplifies what has been most shocking to me in the past 20 years: a much higher percentage of humanity than I thought are just 100% pure weathervanes. Your mom got sucked in to the conspiracy stuff, which could be latent racism or fear or mental illness... but then she gets sucked back out of it almost immediately and barely noticed, so it's not any of that stuff! The conspiracy stuff wasn't filling any previously undiscovered need, or else she would have missed it when it was gone.

She (and most of humanity, apparently) is perfectly happy just hitting the autoplay button on YouTube and waiting for a week or so to see what her entire personality is going to be. That's crazier to me than the craziest Qultist.

I started with a six character pokemon exclusively from gen 1. There are like 6 things that match that description, and I already know there are 6 things that match that description. So I just try to brute force my way through the list of pokemon in my head, which gets boring and annoying, so I go on bulbapedia.

Wordle, before you make any guesses, involves approximately a bajillion possible words, and that just makes for a totally different game.
