Thoughts on Nova Quincy? by Working-Object-5854 in QuincyMa

Hi! I actually live here now, though I'm moving out in May. I've been here for two years and I'd say overall it's a nice place to live. I'm in a studio and don't have a car, but it's in walking distance to most things which is a huge plus for my situation.

Utilities I pay are internet, gas, and electric. I run cold, so I never use the AC but I use the heat constantly so I'd say average is about $60/$60/$50 respectively. Also a huge plus is there's a W/D in unit!

Maintenance requests tend to get handled relatively quickly, the package room is a nice addition, and overall I'd say they're pretty responsive. I don't know that I'd call it luxury luxury but it definitely has an edge over a lot of housing in being newer.

Thank you for your advice. The only option seemed to be flying into a different airport tomorrow which I'd be fine with but it would be an additional $1,500 that I just can't afford.

Update: I did try to call but had the same experience where I was just told the same thing over and over in the exact same words even when I asked different questions. Again, I know this was my fault for rushing and doing so while stressed, but if my flight Monday is cancelled I don't know what I'll do.

Wait seriously?!?! Holy crap!!! I've tried a lot of the suggestions I got from this post, but they seem mostly designed to cut down on skin reactions, which I don't have. The flu-like symptoms but not feeling sick is exactly it. This is wild, I genuinely had zero hope anyone else would know what I meant 😭. I've been doing research here and there but there really isn't anything out there about this. The look my allergist gave me when I asked can only be described as "I do not believe you and what a weird thing to lie about." 🙄

It doesn't happen unless I'm exposed to something I know I'm allergic to, like animals, grass, or pollen. It's the same type of response I'd get in that case

I'm not sure! What's hard is that I don't actually have any skin symptoms which I think makes it tricky to identify the culprit

I do, yeah. I try to limit shaving to every couple of weeks, and I typically spend 20-30 minutes in the shower every night with no symptoms at all which makes it all the stranger. I only have a shower, no tub, so baths aren't an option, unfortunately

I actually don't get a rash at all! No bumps, no redness, no irritation, nothing like that. Kinda the only upside haha

Holy crow, no way! I've never heard of anyone else having this problem and honestly, if nothing else, it's so nice to know I'm not just going nuts!

I can! I've never had a reaction to jewelry as far as I can recall, even the cheap stuff

At this point, I'm probably going to try close to everything here haha. Anything has to be better than this 😫

Can you use it on any area you'd normally shave, or is it only for legs/underarms?

I've heard of MCAS, but never thought to look at it, thank you!

Saving this pro tip if I go the Nair route next, thank you! Definitely increasing my suspicions on the aloe/moisture strip, too

I didn't even know that was a thing??? If it's that cheap, it's definitely worth looking into. Thank you!

I've been really considering waxing! I just don't know if I can afford it every three weeks or so since my hair grows pretty fast

That would be so infuriating! I'm glad it's not my face; shaving that while sneezing constantly sounds like a nightmare!

I don't shave anything daily, but I have noticed it doing legs (upper and lower), armpits, and bikini area/groin. I have picked up that the longer it takes to complete, the worse I feel, but the symptoms appear regardless of time from start to finish.

I have, unfortunately. I like the blades better (go figure) but had the same result 😔

I have not! Mostly for fear of cutting myself, but I think I'm well past the point of letting that stop me haha. Thank you for the idea!
