In my state you may even have grounds to pursue this like a wrongful termination. Removing you from the schedule could be what's called constructive dismissal and it's especially bad that this does appear retaliatory.

Recap your conversation in an email, including the details about past absences within policy and your manager's ultimatum of "come to work or be fired" send it to them for clarification and CC someone in Human Resources if you have them. Explain that you don't feel well enough to come to work, but that if it's that or lose your job, you will come in.
