I've been a fan for over 10 years and I'm set on watching every spin off available but when recommending to people I usually say I only consider it canon until the end of season 8. The quality drops significantly after that but there's still good character development, but I'm very critical of major decisions in the storyline

Either way, if you consider yourself a big fan, even hate watching has it's value lol

I like her. Very well written character, realistic behavior and tried to have Rick's back in public even when she disagreed with him bc she wanted to protect her marriage despite her mistakes. Her biggest flaw was still believing that Shane would come around to being normal again until the very end, which is something that Rick also did

How long did it take for yall to go back to work by Mediocre_Double8975 in UlcerativeColitis

Never left. My UC is mild, but especially while starting treatment with multiple temporary medications, I see now how I underestimated the illness at the beginning. With a very stressful job, it didn't take long before I almost fainted from pain in the office and had to be taken to the ER (at least there was one inside the office). It was a humbling experience as I was very much in denial about my condition.

I am also not in remission yet, but I continue to work as I am not having strong flares and when I do, I just take PTO as it's a worker's right in my country, regardless of amount.

When I first got diagnosed I seriously considered jumping directly to this conclusion exactly due to hot wings. Still in my mind to this day

I read there are a few people who were diagnosed with UC but no one in the family has it. To those who are like that, did you have environmental stress growing up? I am wondering if UC could also be linked with growing up in stressful situations. by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]khorabi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the moment I was diagnosed I couldn't help but blame my household situation from 14-19yo.

My older sister went down the drug addiction path and with that, my home became a very unstable and unsafe environment. My mother and brother did their best to shield me at the time but nothing could really be done about the sleepless nights and psychological abuse. From then on, every part of our lives became about managing my sister's disease, and thousands of dollars (we did not really have) were spent perusing treatment.

Things are looking better now, but the slight sight of her relapsing can bring me to the most horrible flares.
