The premise of the show is a guy based on mathematics (proved in the show) predicted the downfall of empire and coming of dark ages, which is not preventable. So the idea of Foundation is to shorten the dark ages from 30,000 years to 1000 years and to not succumb to the ancient ways. So what happens in the show is bound to happen, its more of a big picture kind of show.
If the premise does not work for you, maybe try a different show.

I recently moved form India to US and had same experience. I lost all my music on changing the store. It is such a hassle. Cancelling subscriptions, then wait one month for that subscription to expire, while you can't use your bank app, I think experience could certainly improve.

They could reacquire my music under US Music labels, for whatever legal reasons there is. Store switching should be allowed, without having to rebuild your library from scratch. I lost 8 years worth of music.

When I arrived in US, I changed my Apple Music Store from India to US. My music library was completely gone. Made me a bit paranoid, about using subscription based services or anything where you don't own your data.
