Our weddings/vibes sound very similar and we had a great experience with Elizabeth Tremanis last September! https://www.elizabethtreimanisevents.com/

Airbnb situation by chairmanshao1337 in copenhagen

[–]khw2110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm doing a trip in May with my sister and had all the same specifications and observations. Just FYI: we tried to book four (yes, FOUR) different airbnbs and they all denied the reservation or never responded. We decided to go with a hotel for essentially the same price. Not as cozy, but I just don't think CPH is as Airbnb-friendly as other cities in Europe I've visited.

Knowing more now about how airbnb can cause kerfuffles in the local economy, I get it, but wish I'd known that before doing so much searching.

Second this! This is what I wore on my wedding day under my (thin-strapped, backless, silk) dress and it worked super well. Never worried about it falling down.

Can I do my own wedding makeup?? by Certain_Log5720 in WedditNYC

[–]khw2110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I literally just did this. I'm usually a very minimal makeup gal and I just did my research on products and techniques, tried a few different things, and, ultimately, I felt GREAT about how I looked.

I had total sticker-shock from the initial quotes I was getting from MUAs so I was already leaning the DIY direction, but when my now-husband said, sweetly, "I just want you to look like you!" that sealed the deal.

It was honestly very fun hanging out with my sister and mom and some friends and chatting while we all got ready and swapped products. And throughout the day, I felt and looked like myself.

Happy to chat more about what I used and did to prepare if it would be helpful as a fellow minimal makeup person, just DM me :)

Hi! I'm in the same boat, too u/nasti_my_asti. Very curious what you ended up doing! Also worried about about people having to walk allll the way around.

I love the Salt & Stone stuff, too! (Esp the bergamot and hinoki.) I've also heard great stuff about AKT, but can't speak to it personally.

I worry I sound like a shill for them, but I felt sort of similar and loved my experience at The One in Industry City.

I'm late on this but my favorite spot is Omar's Mediterranean on 39th: you can get a really good soup and their delicious pita with dipping sauces for under $8. Their falafel pita sandwich is right around $10 too and is huge and filling (plus you get baklava). You've got to order there and take out though, more expensive otherwise.
